I made one, the paint is drying now. I don't have gesso, so I used mod podge and then painted on top of that. I had to make it shorter than yours. It is the same height as an American girl doll. The cardboard boxes I had were not quote big enough to make it taller than the doll.

I think this craft is cool because it doesn't use foamboard which not everyone has easy access to and even then it still can be expensive.

You could. I now live in a humid area & Mod Podge sometimes stays tacky when the air is humid.

Thank you soooo much for doing this craft because I am going to get Joss but I don't want to spend $80 on a surf board this is $18 less than the doll herself and I really wanted her to have a surf board. Also would mod podge work instead of gesso?

I also live in England and have placed many orders with American Girl. Shipping is around $50, then you pay tax when it enters the country. There is also a store (I think called My Doll Collection?) that sells the dolls here

Also, I just want to say what ag did to you was so shady, I'm sure they ghosted you bc you craft all their stuff so it makes it more affordable for more people and that's taking money out of their pockets. It's sad, but I'm so grateful you craft all the lovely things you do. Bc lots of us out here cant afford 300.00 buck sets. You're an amazing person and you didnt deserve that.
