@Connor Griffin - The couple Sea Chaser 23LX's that I glanced at had Suzuki 250, the interior appeared to be same console, seats and components that are on the Carolina Skiff. They were in the $58k - $60k range with 1 house battery, no electronics, no jack plate. Those were both at same dealership, one was priced the same at local boat show. They had a 26LX with Suzuki 300 for about $65k, no accessories. Both models had same components and quality as the typical Carolina Skiff DLV models. I got the 2019 Sportsman 247 Master bay with Yamaha 300, Seastar 8" hydraulic jackplate, 2 house batteries, 12" Garmin chartplotter with thru-hull transducer, Garmin VHF with 8' antenna and JL Audio stereo system sitting on a $6k Venture Commander Series trailer. $70k before taxes

Chris M if you don’t me asking how much did you give for it? When you say you spent $10k more I’m assuming you still spent under $60k?

@Connor Griffin - Sportsman 2019 247 Master Bay boat. Took it to Florida Keys for a week last month tarpon and shark fishing, love the boat. It made the Keys fishing trip even more enjoyable. Very solid, has enough carolina flare to keep us dry in rough water. The boat has done exceptional, cruises at 40 mph which was top speed for my skiff (on glass conditions). Ran the bay boat up to 60 mph, it had more to offer but I backed off, that was 2 men loaded with fishing gear, 40 lbs ice on board and 65 gallons fuel.

They are priced high for the quality. I had CS boat for 12 years and been involved in skiff forums for years seeing all of the issues with different models, quality is very questionable. Not really questionable but very poor compared to most manufactures. Few months ago I purchased a high quality built 2019 24' bay boat with 12" garmin units factory installed, Yamaha 300, hydraulic jack plate on a Venture Commander Series trailer. About $10k more than these bay boats with 250 engine. Not bashing the company just years of dealing with CS quality and customer support, also looked at the Sea Chaser 26 when at dealer getting my skiff serviced. The bay boat quality was right on the lines with the skiff quality. They have a place in the market, but not priced slightly below the lines of much higher quality built bay boats.
