I'm looking at getting the 6.0 40.2L Potatonator with a quad fin set up... waves in NZ are mushy, 2-4foot east coast and 3-10foot west. I'm 6.0 and 92kgs. Do you think this is the right board for my sizing? Do you have a review on the potatonator also? Thanks mate.

I have had the sweet potato for 3 or 4 years and have loved the way it surfs subpar waves. I'm 75 kg and ride the 5'4. When the baked came out I picked one up as it is a more refined sp. I only rode it 4/5 the men's but knew I didn't like it from the first surf.
Why? I think the sp knows what it it, a true groveller, it doesn't try to hide it and it rides gutless surf really well. The bp tries to cross over and be more versatile, but as a result it losses its bottom end grovel gold. I'll always have a few boards in the car so if the conditions are bigger or better than I'm expecting, I'll use a different board.
I think firewire should have released the bp in the same sizes as the sp. In the bp I had to go the 5'5 because the 5'3 was too short and under vol. but the 5'5 felt way too big. I think a 5'4 at 33L would have worked, but I'm a sweet potato man.
