That's more of a picnic boat … and for that money I'd want something a little more grand! As usual buying a new boat, everything's an option. Greenline need to join the real world … before they go bankrupt. There are several of their hybrid efforts for sale down my way (S of F) and they can't give them away! One guy's binned the hybrid stuff and runs it on just diesels. Imagine the depreciation on this thing! (yes I do know this one's on outboards!)I shudder to think what the price of the coupe is! Maybe someone should send them a Beneteau/Jeanneau/Bavaria catalogue. Has it got the recipe right? Nowhere near it!

250k they lost their mind , 2 250 merc cost 20k each lets say 50k total for powerplant install and taxes, grp less then 10k worth of material fiberglass ,resin , paint and gelcoat under 40 foot boat, 10k for 10 inch wholesale chartplotter ,radio, stearing, throttle, gauges, 5k for cabin and head, 5k for seetee, captain chair and wetbar /kitchen cushion , 80k total , labor maybe 40k tops,but in slovenia maybe half the labor cost,, so overall max price to build this is 120k, so they 2.5x it for max profit, il pass , lots of buyers remorse , whoever purchase this boat. too much mark up

@Bacnow come on mate; we all know that "elon" is pumping massive amounts of money into tesla. tesla might not even break even in the near future. You can't really compare the cost of "innovation" of a standard plastic boat from a "relatively small company" with a billionaire investing with his private money. I do agree with your statement of "passing on" innovation cost, but again, it's not even a tesla model s. You might compare the Neo with a Nimbus t11. The nimbus is marginaly more expensive, but at least a meter longer, a 100 hp more powerful, two additional acommodation and probably built with higher attention to detail. The neo seems indeed a "bit pricey".

okumonux — doesn’t have to be! A Tesla model S is innovative and costs around $120k when you max it out! Its not a spacecraft either, yet people recognize the innovation and pay accordingly! Same with Greenline! Innovation costs are always passed to the consumer!

Stay Frosty - A limited production resource like a yacht involves other variables that you did not account for!
R&D > Each and every boat will have to absorb a huge chunk of these costs since they will probably only sell a dozen!
Economies of Scale > Cost per unit will never decrease because output will always be low!
Innovation > Greenline remains one of the most innovative Yacht companies in the world and rely on highly specialized labor!

While i agree, Yacht makers charge insane prices (for an average Joe), most would be bankrupt if they cut their profit margins to the degree you suggest!

Really needs portholes down below. Those 4 solar panels will run the fridge and radio and little else. The cabin seating could also be more plush, as it is it's like no one cares and just did the most basic fit.

Yeah £250k - is massively over priced! _ had to go back and replay that part of the video as I thought I had misheard. You could get a far better boat for that type of money.

Very nice, well thought out boat. But, a pity they couldn't have made a hybrid version - along the lines of Steve Mcfadden's boat!

So you take a wave over the bow and the sea runs back into the saloon and potentially the cabin because there is nothing but a bit of glass at the eyeline to stop it on the port side?
