This is the speed test of Chinese Outboard Hangkai 3.5 HP on my 14ft jon boat. The boat + everything inside the boat (including me) is about 450 lbs. Oh this is going to be a great motor. I can't wait.
When I go out it is always with a rented 14" al boat and one of my sons for a total weight of
450 # for me and my passenger + 150 for the boat, anchors and gear so 600 lbs. total. We take it on
lakes between 250 and 1800 acres. In the five times we had it out this past summer it kept getting
a little faster each time and by Oct. it was doing 4.1 to 4.4 mph with this load depending on
waves and wind measured by GPS. I have a 20 sec. video to show if anyone is interested.
The 18 lb. weight is what I like best.
