Hi Noel, did Hayden recommend not trying 'White Noiz'? I highly recommend it. Basically best board I've ever had,…. neutral, fast, and solid surfing, simultaneously. I prefer F8 fin in the back, and F6 or Scimitars on the sides, i.e., larger fin in back, smaller fins (next size smaller) on sides.

Great reviews! I'm thinking about getting the dark side for this fall/winter season. Can this board handle over head days? Good for SF/SM beach/ point breaks? Do you recommend Epoxy resin for a bigger guy? Thanks in advanced!

Robby Towle Robby the Darkside is Epic and yes it can handle over head days. I would say it ideal wave size is 3-8’+. Yes the PE construction will go good for you. The Epoxy resin feels a tad more lively compared to Polyester resin.

How do you like the darkside PE vs the CI fever? Do you think they're for similar waves? Also was the tail rocker noticeably more on the darkside? I think I tend to like lower tail rockers. Thanks!

Chris Fan Both boards are EPIC and they are built for the same wave sizes. The Fever has less tail rocker but they both feel sick off the bottom and in the hook. If you want less tail rocker then the Fever is the one for you.

I really didn't notice too much but then again I didn't surf big waves with heavy offshore winds either. I suggest getting one but make sure the glass job is stock (heavier) so it has a little bit of weight too it and that will lessen the chatter.

I really like the Dane Reynolds fin by CF Co. I have used them in a bunch of different types of boards..... high performance, and grovelers and they are one of my favorites. I would say that are similar to the CI AM2's Honey Comb with less Rake. Because they have a little less Rake they can pivot faster. I think these fins are sick!! Cheers

Whats a board you would recommend for waves around 4-7 ft, and another one for 2-3 ft. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 118 lbs. Im 15 so I'm growing. Any recommendations?

PipeLineGt I like the HS Darkside for 4-7 Surf and I like a few boards for the 2-3’ range. The Untitled by HS is sick.... that review drove tomorrow. I also like the Sampler by CI, Monsta Box by JS, and the Lost V3 Stealth. All of these boards are mental for 2-3’ Surf and I recommend getting them in EPS too.

Hello Noel, did you notice any diference between the FutureFlex Vs Pu regarding floatation? Does the FF floats a bit more with the same volume? Regards and another great review!

Hugo M I did not notice too much difference but I am sure the buoyancy is better with the FF because EPS foam is more buoyant.

jose Prieto There are a bunch of good boards for Medium size waves. I like the Haydenshapes Darkside and Untitled for Medium waves. The Untitled is a great board and very versatile... it will go good in 2-8 foot surf. I recommend the Untitled for you. Cheers

Bruno Madio Two sick boards for sure. The Darkside in FF is my favorite combo at the moment.... and the FF technology is off the charts. I would go FF Darkside for waves 2-8+ and the durability is good too! Cheers

Noel, I agree with Glen Mack. Nose and Tail measurements are always so hard to find online and it would be awesome if you mentioned them while going over the outline. Maybe just show the dims while your doing the review. I really enjoy your reviews and thank you for taking the time to put them together.
