great boat. love mine. shallow rocky creek we drug it over many rocks. only problem was tearing the floor chamber. floated just fine for 3days after that. holds a 100 lbs of water tho when you take out. the patch kit included didnt have enough glue to fix the 5 inch gash. was thinking a giant pool patch kit would seal it up? the rock guards are awesome! the pontoons are very strong. we road over a 20 ft high 40 ft long spill way that had a just a trickle of water. was best part of whole trip on a flooded creek that was at 3ft instead of 3 inches normally. boat on people!

I noticed that there is a Seahawk 2 and a Seahawk II. Am I right in assuming that they are two different products, since they look quite different in pictures?

I started implementing the instructions carefully and I inflate the boat with enclosed INTEX hand air pump in the sequence mentioned. And I was careful in not over inflate the boat. I tried with the company but the reply was Disappointing. (Be careful in your choice man)

It depends on the size of the boat you're looking for. These 2 models are the highest quality Intex boats. The main difference between the 2 is the size and the Mariner 4 has the hard bottom floor. Other than that they are both great quality boats!

Great point, the seahawk 2 with number is a lower quality and then the Seahawk II is a very strong boat. As of this 2013 season it is now renamed as the Mariner 3. But if looking at older versions you do want to look at the Seahawk II.

The mariner 3 seems to be the rebranded seahawk II right? But by confusion comes from the 2 models seahawk 2 and seahawk II. Same name, but different model it seems since the "2" is green and a much lighter , less durable build than the seahawk II. They are definitely very different, at first i was thinking on buying the green 2, before noticing it's different from the II. It's very confusing because of the name, so pay attention, potential buyers.

The size of the box it comes in is 16.5 x 13.5 x 30 and it's very similar after you've used it and taken it down again.

You could add something in you would just want to make sure that it would not wear on the bottom or sides too bad that could cause a puncture.

We are not familiar with the "Green" version but this works great and is extremely durable! besides the floor and size it is almost the same as the Marnier 4!

That Seahawk II model looks like a mini version of the Mariner 4. Is this version better then the "Green" Seahawk 2 they sell on Walmart/Ebay sometimes?

Great boat! I have one. Good quality of material, perfect for two persons gone fishing. :) new seats are great! They are very stable and tough. Sitting high and moving around is easy. And the price is low. Some persons thinking that China boats are poor, but it is not truth. This boat is not a Seahawk 2\3\4, its very heavy and hard. I have a seahawk 3 boat, and its performing well, no problems for 3 years. That about Seahawk II - it can do even more! Sorry for my english, i`am from Russia :)

@Rubberboats You say the Seahawk II is much better than the green seahawk boats, but at Intex site, they say that the material gauge of the Seahawk 400 is 30, while the Seahawk II is 26. What do you say about it? I am thinking about buying one of this, but the material gauge is letting me confused.

@bpoch73 Yes, you can see two adults at 4:18 minutes in to the video. Normally, the guy in the front will sit on the bow of the boat if his legs get cramped. The guy in the front in this video is 6' 2" tall. He sat up on the bow for most of the day and my buddy sat on the cooler.

@Rubberboats Alright thanks man! I want to take this green Seahawk 300 out and see how it stands before I look to do any investing in a Seahawk II. Could you give me a price range on the seahawk II that you showed in this video?

@reuter51 There are a lot of people who think the seahawk series is all the same boat just different sizes. There is the Seahawk II and then the Seahawk 200. This video is of the Seahawk II and it is a 3 man boat and much, much, much better than the green seahawk boats. If you are fishing, I would get the seahawk II.

Can you take these boats out in the ocean, like say a bay? I saw somewhere that they are saltwater resistant.

@SilleeSpyder I think the Keyword here is "moderate". Remember, this is not a large raft and most of the time it is the size of the river rafts more so than the strength. I would rather take the Mariner if you are going up against rapids.

@SilleeSpyder Oh ya, the seahawk II is made of a reinforced polyester. It would take a lot to puncture. I had it on the snake river and a blackcurrant tossed us into a jagged rock face that spun us around and nothing happened to the boat.
