I’m an intermediate to advance surfer with 15+ years of surfing. I’m 37 years old, 5’9” and 205 pounds, 212 with a wetsuite on, and ride 36L to 40L. I got the V3 Rocket to replace my old everyday board the Sub Scorcher 2. I’m riding the V3 Rocket as a custom 6’2” (39L) and I have found that it’s more of a step up board. I need a wave that is head high or bigger and breaking more top to bottom for this board to really work well. I surf in SoCal and this board is probably only surfed maybe 30% of the time on the top end of the good surf range. The Sub Scorcher 2 is a better everyday board in my opinion.

Great board. Had the Original Rocket then got the V3. Board goes exactly as you described it. I have ridden it double overhead. Just needed bigger fins. Not sure what board to get next as I really really like this board. I ride the 5'10 stock dims.

Not sure if this will help you but I have a 2 board quiver, Lost V3 and the Lost RV. Those two boards handle everything here in California. The V3 gets the most use because as you said it just handles everything. Good call on the bigger fins for big days, it makes all the difference.
