hello my name is charles and i live in africa, Nigeria to be precise. i bought a motorola cable modern since 2010 and uptill now i have not been able to use it in nigeria
please anybody with usefull information how to crack or hack and use it with any of the cable station like mytv,startime,multichioce or joytv there are more but i just need help on how to utilise the feature in this modern

ordering this tomorrow, done being a slave to charter...gonna swtich to a local cable company and use my OWN MODEM SO NO RENTAL FEE and only pay 40$ a month for 20mbps for rest of my life!!! - so it doesn't include a coaxial cable?

I bought this modem and I love it. I also have Mediacom. Who do you use for phone service (especially since this modem does not have a phone jack).

i also have media com and just bought this modem 1 month ago. but we keep having the download speed go from 13Mbps to 35Mbps. does anyone know how to update the modem Media Com said it needs the update, but we arent getting the Mbps were are suppose to (50Mbps).

Really great review.However I would like to say that although it is really rare I have heard of people getting a different mac address on the box than what is actually on the device.So I think it is best to look at the mac address on the actual device to prevent any inconveniences.

Great that you have the opportunity the use your own cable modem. Over here (Zaandam, The Netherlands) we are using the Cisco EPC3925 cable modem which has a router, 4 port switch and wifi capability combined in one. We are on (EURO)Docsis 3.0, and the modem itself is fine when it's working. The only issue I have is I have to reset once a week (connection lost) so there is room for improvement there. Thanks for the video.
