This is a stupid idea for a surfboard. Two deep fins positioned like this will stiffen the board's Pivotel turning response . AND I HATE THAT.

Interesting, windsurf boards went through this kind of a fin design configuration. It seemed to help cavitation and associated spin out when pressing hard on the back foot.

what about channging the fin sizes to match the different surf conditions? Over all, it looks like a borad I could definitely get into for general surf conditions where Ilive and might blow a few minds in the process, hehe!

+CompareSurfboards.com Cool, thanks for replying. I'm 5'10" and about 175 lbs. NPJ is making me a 6'6" for Ocean Beach, SF. With 4/3 wetsuits almost year around, the strong currents and big tide swings, I think 6'6" will work great. By the way, you should do a review of some of Danny Hess' models: http://hesssurfboards.com/shapes/ I have the Moraga and it flies.

+Mark Valenta Hey Mark, of course! I'm 6'0 and 105kg's. I usually ride a shortboard at 6'3/6'4 so this is a tad smaller at 6'2. Originally, Neal wanted to make this one a 6'0 but I wanted to have a bit more length given he feels it works best when the waves are a bit bigger and better
