Brushed motors? Umm... hello! We are in the age of brushless! Why can’t anyone make an affordable jet boat that’s big and very powerful? Can no one actually achieve this commercially? Retards!
This must be extremely boring and pointless. Waste of money.

brushed motors still work well - for a boat like this it's done for cost. 2 brushless motors and escs would drive the price too high so I guess the answer they can't make it at a reasonable cost.

That light at the base of the radar mast is supposed to be a SIREN. And I only carried 55 gallon drums on my boat once (so I'm going to remove them from the model). I live just down the street from the store shown here (and I assume that was Ellis Lake?). See ya there.

it would probably be a pain. Also the boat likes to skid out at higher speeds-you have to get used to that. More speed it may just get worse.

Thanks for your quick answer! Yep, I know I need another radio with more channels, in fact I have one with 16 so thats plenty of them, lol. If I buy one boat (Im sure I will) I will put a lot of gadjets on it, video camera, and gun elevation too.

I know that the boat runs great as it is, but I was just a bit scared of being stuck somewhere and being unable to recover it unless I swim to it. And yeah, I wont swim in those dark waters around here too, lol.

So if Jason is able to install the reverse buckets, please upload a video.

Hey Rad - thanks for stopping by. Lights are either on or off from the receiver side as far as I can tell. You could change that with a different radio system. You would also need a different radio system to make the front turret moveable. As for reverse you need to install buckets that swing down over the nozzles, so it's a bit of work to set that up. That would be quite cool though! Jason mentioned he found some, but not small enough for the this boat-so I am still not sure how to get it done. You don't need to reverse to run it and you can turn it pretty tight at low throttle. Thanks again for the comment!

Very cool boat. First power boat I've seen that I wanted to know how much it was.

The power issue is why I switched all my boats from DSM to FrSky Rx's for my boats. The built in telemetry means I can set the LVC warning while it's on the water.

Any chance you took any shots of the battery installed, Just got the same boat , until i get a lipo for it , I'm running the recommended niMH in it I cannot get it fit great, , Otherwise great video, It was 27 degrees this weekend, so my first float was very quick, Thanks for sharing

oh yeah sorry may have forgot to show that - there is not much room in there. He ended up sliding it into the space in front of the motors. It was tight fit and won't be all that easy to get in and out. That was the 5000 pack so a 4000 pack may be easier to fit.
