It's RTR (Ready To Run) and is a great starter boat, indeed with its brushless 3S setup you could argue it's way more than a starter RC boat. It comes with everything you need to run it except transmitter batteries. With a 3S lipo pack in it will hit 25-30mph. This is plenty enough power to eat up a small lake. A lot faster than the brushed version from Horizon Hobby. Also run time of over 10+ mins on our first outing. The recoils best trick is the self righting feature.
