r structure is facing back wards and it is not a battle ship¨but a destroyer.... Battleships feature massive guns as a main armament, not a puny single gun.

The Burke class Destroyers were built in the late 80's and early 90's to replace the 60-70 era destroyers and frigates. They are not so far the longest serving Destroyers in the Navy. That record is held by the refitted Fletcher, Sumner, and Gearing class Destroyers that served from world war two through the 70's. there were actually two types of Burke,s. the first completed vessels of the class only had a landing pad for helicopter ops. using Helicopters from other vessels. the second series of Burke's had a hanger added so the destroyers could operate their own Helicopters. As for Battleships. There are No Battleships serving with the fleet anymore. the last battleships were the refitted Iowa's that were refitted in the late 80's and retired from service after desert storm.

my brother is in the navy if you ever want to learn. the navy still heavily uses those destroyers. I didn't know that there are models of that size and detail out there. i like the video though. I did laugh every time you called it a battleship. I did learn that I can hunt down a rc boat like that. I will have to look harder.

Yeah, he doesn't know any thing about the "still in service Arleigh Burke class DESTROYER" or how the forward superstructure is mounted on the ship. DDG 82 is the USS Lassen HAHAHA

I think this Burke class was made in memory of the USS John Burke that got blown to kingdom come by a kamikaze plane in the Pacific Ocean, And they have a video of this moment on youtube, RIP

Radio Control Toys nope named after admiral arlegh burke who command a Fletcher class during ww2 he gave a speech when they launch the first burke class ship.

lol!! lets be nice! he is not up to par on the specs as he should be. I am still scratching my head! But I am glad to see this one. I have helped build over 12 of them. This destroyer model is the Flight 2 (meaning it has 2 aircraft hanger decks).

Alright man, as someone IN the US Navy, just fyi, it's not a battleship. It's the Arleigh-Burke Class Destroyer, which is STILL in service. They are on the FLIGHT II version right now.

Sorry to be a jerk but thats not a Battleship, its a destroyer and its still in service.The longest serving Battleship was the USS Missouri from 1944 to 1992.
