Pukas The Link Surfboard Review

We review the Pukas Link surfboard, shaped by Matt Biolos. The Link is a super fun and skatey shortboard but with dialled in performance as well. The Link is definitely not a cruiser, or a low rocker groveller, but a board with some proper rocker and concaves. This is a board for a good surfer to chuck around, smack the lip and generally surf radically in small clean beach break conditions. Matt has been at the forefront of the wider and shorter board revolution and has always tried to execute this with performance in mind, not just fashion or retro. Matt started with his ShortRound and made it a little more racy. The nose was pulled in and more tail rocker was added so the board could fit into faster and more dumpy waves. To work with the rocker, Matt added a lot more concave from the centre back through the fins. The concave gets up and going and fast, as well as increases rail curve, allowing for quick radical direction changes. Is that correct that the link doesn’t like wind as an eps board? I have the 5.10 31.75L.
On windy conditions It’s difficult to paddle and it feels that you’re not moving forward at all.
Hard to catch waves, however on glassy conditions w/o wind it works perfectly.
