What size is the Slab 2.0 that you are holding in the review (if you cant remember, how tall are you)? Did you find that the Slab 2.0 surfs fast and vertical in the pocket? Would it be good in the 2 to 3m swell range? Cheers

I’m thinking about getting this board used as my first short board. I’m 5’7 and around 150 pounds. Would a 6’1 slab be too big for me?

The Slab works best with a more vertical template fn like the Pyzel Control or John Johns If you are running FCS2's the Reactors are a good fit,

REAL Watersports what are the best fins for this board. I'm struggling to turn it on fannings and too skiddery with am2s. Might just be me not use to the board yet.

Both have fairly relaxed rocker lines but the Slab 2.0 is narrower. If you are surfing the same volume, the longer Slab 2.0 will perform better in bigger surf.

You really can't go wrong with Pyzel, the glass jobs are top notch, the boards rip and tend to hold up better than Channel Islands.

Im having trouble deciding over the Channel Islands sampler or the slab 2.0. The Pyrex ik I would be able to ride a lot more. Any advise?

Hey Brian, It works well on the East Coast, especially on our beach breaks. It's not the best in small surf but when it's on, this board is a great option.
