The Yellowfin 5800 HT It is an unashamedly tough boat that can be towed long distances without the fear of stone chips and taken offshore into tuna and marlin territory transporting several mates with the room for them all to fish. It is the perfect choice for anglers who treat their boat a little bit rough and with little care. It is a very capable bluewater fishing platform with tough plate construction and a no nonsense finish that will ensure that whatever you’re chasing, you’re able to get out there, catch it and get home safely and without worrying about the state of the boat. It is perhaps my favourite of all the models. At 5.8m there’s still massive amounts of deck space in the cockpit and it doesn’t have the same manoeuvrability issues of the 1.1m longer 6700. Like the larger boat, it features a 19 degree deadrise that slices through oncoming waves with ease and I found it to be more manoeuvrable, more stable and more my size.
