Starting price for the Boat is around $50,000 but if you want the upgrade Engine and Metal Flake Paint and Special Prop, and Extra Ballast, Surf Gate Light Packages and all the Other stuff you Want its around $85,000 back when i got it, they seem to Creep up around $2-3 Thousand each year so it would prob be even more now... Depending on the Options Of course. They do have Financing, Who needs a Car or a House Just a Really Nice Boat is all I need!

does the boat come with a cushion for the bow to make it one solid section and eliminate the walk through?

@rider3969 The 24 does not which is actual why i like the 24ft the 22 and 20ft have the cushion in the front but you cannot remove it i like to be able to walk up front not crawl in case someone has shoes etc. that is one of the main reasons i went for the 24ft. it does have a slot to stop the wind if that does anything for you.

So I just now came across this so you may have figured it out by now, but there is nothing wrong with your front ballast. Water comes out when u turn it on because the valve is closed, so there is no water coming into the boat. All the pump is doing is picking up water and looping it back out. There is no front hard tank, but there is a pnp hookup so you can add a front ballast bag (usually a 400lb). So when you buy a bag and then hook it up, that's when your front switch will become useable. Right now it serves no purpose, just pretend that switch is not there. Nice boat, axis boats are sick, enjoy!

@Derek Ortiz with the current prop 45mph it would be around 50 to 55 with a non Torque 4 Prop. but better gas on slow speed wakeboarding

@slydog85 lol, i just watched video and it look like the tow rope got stuck on the board rack, Not what i would recommend doing, good eye.

Some of the things you are calling cons, are not design issues but manufacturing quality faults. As a reviewer you need to make the distinction.
Faults can be fixed, cons cannot.
Otherwise, nothing like an unbiased review with the familiarity an owner has. Well done.

@mudcrab443 k thanks for the input, overall I contacted Axis and they made a lot of the stuff right, I mainly blame the dealer as they should have seen and fixed some of the issues before i received boat.

it does, but not super easily it would be fine to store over the winter with the tower down but i would not want to take it down everyday to go under a bridge or something like that.

I am thinking about getting an a24. Do you think it is a major pain having to put things down manually power wedge, etc... Overall as a wakeboarding and surfing boat does it match up with other boats. Oh, and how much does the 78 GALLONS of gas last you?

well the power wedge is the only thing i put down manual the rest is with switches, and it's like a $10,000 upgrade to have it powered is how i look at it. (Axis vs Wakesetter) me personally will save the $10,000 and drop it, manually, you could leave down all the time but then cannot drive faster than 24mph, it's not a big deal for me since i wakesurf 90% of the time while i'm out on the water. takes about 5 sec to do. It's 100% better than my last boat a maxum 19ft , the main reason i got it was the surf gate it's something only axis and wakesetters have. since i got the high Torque Prop and have the biggest engine, it was not as bad as i thought, it goes through around the same gas as my maxum 19ft but i'm wakesurfing instead. Wakeboarding with the ballast full would take the most gas, driving around slow with no ballast would be the least gas. i think it's around 10 gallons per hour of gas wakesurfing, stock ballast full. i need to recheck that to be 100% but i'll let you know if it's different the next time i go out.
