Hi, I'm considering buying the 8'6. I weigh 52kg and I'm 164cm
Up until now I've used a takayama 7'6 and a rds 9'6
I ride both boards well but the long is heavy to turn and the takayama requires steeper waves.
Would the 8'6 be good for my weight? Any other recommendations?

The 8' torq minimal (60 liters) would be a better choice for your size/weight. Plenty of buoyancy for easy paddling, less nose diving than the 8'6.. and more responsive, easier to maneuver once on it.. but if you really want something awesome, go for the Gem 8'3 by Firewire, this board is incredible.

I have a torq 7'6" mini mal far too thin too little volume 52.4 ltr is certainly not enough volume for a beginner 8' x 22" x 3" perhaps would stop me sinking the board at 77+ kg that 7'6" board sinks 4"- 6" when I sit on it very hard to paddle 8 foot 22" wide 3" thick would perhaps be better

Hello there, good review! As a beginner I am looking for a surfboard that is suitable for me. I am 1.94 m (6'4) and long and weigh about 94 kg (207lbs). I want to go surfing along the Dutch coast so the waves will not be very high.
Would a Torq Mini Mal 8'0 be suitable for me? Thank you in advance for the response.

Hi! I'm 180 cm and 75 kg. I would consider myself as sth between beginner and intermediate (roughly 8 weeks of surf experience). What size would you suggest? I thought 7ft 2 or 7ft 6?!

Hi, im torn between the 8'0 minimal and the 7'6 minimal as my first board. I'm 5'6 and 150lbs and want to make sure I catch waves but can still progress on it
