bought my first tracker in 87. next one in 96. next one in 01. sold all for high book. then a ranger,then a skeeter. retired now and down sized to a pro 17 txw 60 fourstroke in 2009 and still use it a lot. only upgrades were 3rd batt and 55lb trolling motor, and 3bank 10amp ea charger. still looks like new as i am a compulsive boat cleaner and maintainer. sold all my older boats to people i know and still see them on the lakes. be aware these are entry level boats and built accordingly. quick tip. buy new but last year model with same warranty and save a few thousand. i always called tracker and they told me who had new last year models still in inventory. saved 3 grand on catalog price and no ship or prep. good luck

Nice review. I looked hard at these in 2014 when I bought my boat. I love the finish of the Tracker it's powder coated. My two cons were the wooden deckes and floors, a little behind the times considering the amount of all aluminum boats to choose from, and the outboard choice or should I say lack there of choices. I went with a Ranger aluminum but will think that a Tracker is a good choice as well.

This fella is spot on. Reviews right after purchase are a dime a dozen. Reviews a year later are worth a lot - from the potential customer's point of view and I have to believe Range Boats values this review and others like it as well.

I had to send mine back to tracker to get a whole new floor put in and reduce the flotation because the vinyl became unglued. Does the whale tail help protect the lower part of the motor any?

Thanks for the great review. Going to a Boat Show today and hoping to walk away a new owner. Tossing and turning over the 175 vs 195. Living in Midwest and the lousy weather means storing it all winter. Not sure if the extra investment in the 195 is a good financial decision.

I really like my 175. But I am thinking about going up to the 195. Bigger motor, more storage. I have started fishing tournaments this year and see the advantage of the bigger motor. If you tournament fish or plan on it I suggest the 195. Other then that I am very happy with the 175.

+Crappie Tv still love it. I am going to do a 2 year review before long. I did put a 24 volt trolling motor on it and that really helped. However I am really thinking about stepping to the TXW 195. I did not know I would like Bass Fishing this much and fished a tournament last month and fell in love with it. The boat has ALWAYS preformed well. My biggest problem is when me and my buddy Sarge fish together there is just not enough storage. Also I would like more power on the big motor. But if I don't upgrade I will still be happy with this boat.

good review. thinking about buying a used one and have only had bigger fiberglass boats in the past. no longer into tournament fishing, just want to go fish a couple times per month and have a good time without a huge investment. thanks.

Thank you for such a thorough review. I'm thinking of downsizing from a 96 nitro 205 to this boat. I just don't have any need for a big motor/boat anymore now that my sking \ tubing days are over. I just set her in and troll all day. I had some questions about the trolling motor on this boat and if it be strong enough and you answered them.

1 year old boat with upholstery tearing at stitched seams!!!!! manufacturer would surely replace if it were mine sounds like your dealer not working to hard for you. your warranty is a declining warranty(you lose things as boat get's older).
worked in the boating industry 20 + yrs sounds like dealer s lazy not wanting to work for you cuzz not gonna get paid for their effort (they made their money the easy way when they got your 20 grand

I have a 2005 txw. with a 60hp efipt. Runs great handles awesome with a smooth ride. It will top out at 40mph. gps.

What hole is the motor mounted at? I have the 75efi its second from the top i was considering raising it one hole but these boats dont have a temp guage so i am a little skeptical.

I have the same year model and I am pretty happy with the boat. I am starting to have problems with rust on the hubs though. I have had to change the rear seals and rubber end caps multiple times over the course of a year also. I don't think the trailer is of the best quality. You really can't beat it for the price though.
