shame you didn't get a white lightning. They have one of the Olds Vista and it looks sweet in all white but not $80 sweet, lol.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but only the Silverado and its boat are even remotely accurate. The ERTL boats are recreational ski/.wakeboarding set-ups. Making them not really fit the theme Gone Fishing. More accurate behind both Vista and Older truck would have been a Ranger bass fishing boat from that era. Even an aluminum jon boat behind one. Just a fisherman/diecast collectors observation. The jackstand is cool on the trailers. But the trailers should of had a bow beam to rest on and a rope could have attached to the ring, for detail. Good looking sets overall.

that 2002 Silverado is pretty similar to the one I own except I have a single cab. nice to see very detailed models along with the details of the boat and trailers. great vid keep up the great work.

Another great video! Thanks for bringing these to my attention. The only one I'd really want (although they're all great), is the weathered green Chevy truck. I like that, of course, and the boat knocks the set out of the water. My only small quibble is that I'd have had the trailer weathered, too. Otherwise, superb. Thanks again, for consistently great content. Nice one.

#racegrooves hey Mark great video and I'm a model builder and I haven't gotten these yet, but my question is,you hid the hitch! How is the hitch hooked to the chassis of the truck ? I tried looking,but you kept covering them up with your thumb. I would love to scratch build one to put on another Johnny Lightning car. Thanks and always enjoy the #1 video King !

The boat included with the red station wag is for water skiing or wake boarding. The silver rails lead up to a guide for the ski rope. Great vids race grooves

Great show as always! I got these online the other day and couldn't be happier with them (I think the wagon is actually the best though, even if it isn't a "truck"). Nice to hear that they have more releases of this kind planned. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the others when they hit the shelves

Just noticed - the 2002 Chevy is an original casting by Playing Mantis before Johnny Lightning was purchased by RC2. The Apache style pickup is a new casting by RC2. I wonder if RC2 has all of the original casts from Johnny Lightning? What are your thoughts RaceGrooves?
