you have to sometimes spray a water sealent on the bottom half. But be sure to squeeze fit a piece of foam, noodle or styra in the center cavity. should help floating. worst case you line the sides with trimmed pool noodle foam and it won't capsize.

I bought one for my son to play with in the pool. The boat does not float for long, it has many openings in the bottom and takes on water, then it submerges to being mostly below the surface. I don't understand how a company can make a boat that doesn't function as a boat (ie. float on top of the water), and state that "it floats" on the package. Very disappointed in this product.

Probably won't see this but if you want it to float try taking out the wheels and putting some plastic over the holes and cover it with shoe goo.

Yeah, they do need to design it better considering it's a boat and it's main job is to float. On the other hand, it looks very nice.
