If you decide to buy somewhere else or would like to support the show, please donate at https://www.paypal.me/surfnshow In this episode my friend Max Hoshino and I review the “Moskah” by Xanadu surfboards. The Moskah is a Daily Driver that fits the 3-6' wave range most surfers ride year round. It has low entry and center rocker for maximum down the line speed, and medium exit rocker for high performance turns in the pocket. Both Max and I agree that the Moskah is a small wave performance board that shines in 3-6’ surf and is best suited for the intermediate/pro level surfer. If you want a little less overall rocker for increased down the line speed in somewhat less than average waves then the Moskah fits the bill. This model is a great addition to a three board quiver that sits in between your 1-3’ Groveler and 4-8’ High Performance Short Board. Enjoy this review as Max and I break down the attributes of this board together and watch the Moskah perform in really fun 2-6’ surf. such a great review, Noel. I'm loving both you guys talking about the board and watching a goofy and regular footer trading off lefts and rights/backside and frontside. So good!!! The board looks mental, how would you compare it to the Lost Uber Driver? They look and sound similar with the exception of the swallow tail on this board.

Noel, I absolutly love your revies..really.. but this one..not so much.. the guy knows the board, its used to it, and under your feet it looked stiff and kinda slow.... so ill rather watch u doing your reviews SOLO , cause it looks so much better, and also is not confusing... My opinion on this board is a
NO GO ... Why... cause it didnt look easy or fluid under your feet... compared to all the other boatrds i watched your reviews on...
just my humble, honest opinion as a Really Good and Loyal Fan From Your awesome Work !! Keep em Coming... but just Solo Please !!! Cheers Noel !

Thought it was great having Max there, especially when you discussed which part of the board you were bogging rail on depending on your stances. That’s what’s so interesting about surfboards, the same board can be perfect for someone else but feel very average for you.

Great review, loved the comments on how a someone who is more "back footed" feels the board differently from someone who is more "front footed".
Any chance of reviewing Tokoro this year?

Great review, good job!!! Loved the breakdown. Personally, I prefer a double concave out the back of the board, feels faster and its easier to go rail to rail for me.

Where are you surfing nowadays in the winter? It looks a lot like Cardiff to me. Sick review, and it’s awesome your review shapers that a little less popular!
Surf n Show Reviews
Surf n Show Reviews - 5 years ago
Tosh Jaoudi Xanadu is pretty underrated as a shaper in my book. He’s shaped boards for some of the best surfers in the world. I remember when I was a Grom Gerlach was shredding on them. I think he finished 2nd in the world riding Xanadu’s. He might not be very popular but extremely talented.

Where I surf in reviews is something I don’t talk about much sorry. We want to respect the locals at each break. Cheers!!

Love this show.Noel do you have a view on squirtiness?I'm pretty front foot and this is what I have trouble getting in boards, but its the holy grail for me and find it hard to come bye?I dont hear it emphasised much talking to shapers. You da man.
Dion Oakman

@Surf n Show Reviews thanks for the kNoeledge!!
Surf n Show Reviews
Surf n Show Reviews - 5 years ago
Dion Oakman Getting a board to squirt with speed has a lot to do with technique, board designand fins. I’ve surfed boards with little to no squirt before and my technique is pretty much the same all the time.

Not sure there is a secret... and for me some boards do it better than others.

I suggest working on using your rails more and try to shift your weight back a little and go from a front footed surfer to neutral.

Great review, first : the surf is awesome, look like your are very advanced surfers, or it's a magic board 2) you simply do a deep analysis of the shape, it's really a plus, 3) keep the wave analysis too, it's awesome guys. great job guys, great job, cheers.

Surf n Show Reviews I sure will bro! It’s a beefy beast because I’m 6’3” & 230 but I think it’s going to be a shred sled and some killer 80’s airbrush by Carlsbad local artist legend Josh Potter. Thank you SO much by the way because if it weren’t for you, I would have never known about The Shapeshifter! It' s looks like the CI Bunny chow. the bunny chow i've had was a good board but not so as an easy board, not so forgiving in certain types of waves and needs arms at the entry. These kind of board needs waves like you're riding, pretty soft, preferably clean and then you will got all the power of the wide tail and the swing of the pointy nose .
Surf n Show Reviews
Surf n Show Reviews - 5 years ago
mounproject Yes it’s got a very similar out line as the Bunny Chow. Maybe a little less entry rocker.

Great video as always! I really liked how you got another great surfer in the review who also knows what he is talking about.. Just a quick question, how is the seaside holding out? You still recommending it? Is it the right board to replace my high performance short board for most conditions? Thanks :))
Surf n Show Reviews
Surf n Show Reviews - 5 years ago
Raphaël Gysel Stoked you liked this review!!

The Seaside is amazing and I highly recommend it as a fun board for 1-6’ surf. However... I would never replace your HPSB with a Fish Type Board like the Seaside. The Seaside has a performance feel to it but it will not surf like your High Performance Short Board. They draw completely different lines.... one is not better than the other, they are just completely different.

I would say keep your high performance Shortboard and add the Seaside as a step down performance Fish. That would be a sick two board quiver! Cheers
