We had it five years and it saw many adventures. I sold it to a guy who took it down to Baja Pennisula and it is still there today, running happily and serving his family well. Almost 20 years later the Futura has come back to the Nutnfancy family. This boat is lightweight, tough, rides chop better than any other 100% inflatable boat, looks cool, and is rare. Have YOU ever seen one in person? Probably not. Coupled with the torque Evinrude ETEC 30hp motor, the combo promises to be a pretty good adventure boat. Here we take a short look at the combination and draw conclusions on both motor and boat. The ETEC 2 stroke appears to be a fabulous motor, an environmentally clean high tech 2 stroke. It’s fuel efficient, runs quie as a four stroke, looks great, and is high quality. Max speeds are GPS observed here. Venue is Bear Lake, ID on a fabulous summer day with Allie the mountain dog.

Alley's face as you were porpoise pounding on a flat lake says "Hey dummy, why didn't you just get a Lund!"
My teeth started hurting watching that cowl shake.
yeah get a lund i'm bored and need something to come over the radio soon.
With the lower unit siting too low, you will loose a lot of speed. My 14' aluminum with a 4 stroke 15hp yamaha runs 24mph on my garmin GPS. With a shorter shaft, I'll bet you'd pick up 5mph. The cavitation plate above the prop should be close to being flush with the bottom of the hull.
Seriously ,I'm again impressed with the vast knowledge this guy has,and the amount of things he does .....I feel like a lazy bum every time I watch his vids ;)

I hope you had a kill-switch attached on your wrist, falling off and seeing your boat speed on is not fun on such a big lake!
Lovely to see Ally there soaking it all in, and sliding off the mat :D
