Just ordered on of these and hoping it shows up before everything freezes over where I live. $29 including shipping is pretty hard to beat. It seems to be s good step up from toy grade and he way it's made looks like upgrade should be pretty easy when the stock parts let go.

It should handle the waves fine ! But be sure to clean the water cooling system with fresh water

I would not because I think maybe the saltwater would eat away at the boat unless you flush it every time at the end of the day with clean water

buy a 7.4 1500 mah for the tempo 0002 $16 Bucks for 2 on eBay it has the same plug in you will have to mod the battery tray tho and get a Velcro strap. playing for only 8 minutes after charging the battery for a hour and a half sucks!

yes, but you must clean it out good after and run a tap through the cooling.

I just got one of these and it is amazing! I have actually had it accidentally dive under water and go down about 3-4 ft under water and pop back up and keep on going. I brought it in and checked for water inside and there was none! I then purposely made it dive under many times more with the same results. The speed is good. The steering is ok. Reverse doesn't work well at all. :( It does go backwards, but it sprays more water around than it does moving the boat. Overall, it is a fun LITTLE boat. BTW...I am an experienced rc boater for 30 years and drive the big, brushless ones too. This is a GREAT entry level boat for kids and fun for adults too.

Yes. The spinning propeller will cause the boat to turn better to one direction than the other. The reason is the was the water is swirling off the prop and past the rudder. The same applies to airplanes.

The boat won't go full speed? You may have defective boat. Transmitter batteries will not affect the speed. Payload is not very much, will not hold a GoPro. Greetings.

there are a few points you need to correct in your review. you don't have to turn the wheel to flip them back over, just reverse than forward. the charger stays red when charging and goes off once the batteries are done. you can use a cell phone usb wall charger with output of about 5 volts and 700/800 Mah, and your battery will be charged in about an hour. these boats do rock for the price and size !!!!! you can also buy a package with both boats, extra propellers and extra batteries from DT TOYS on amazon. My batteries have been running about 20 minutes charged with the wall charger.

i just got one from ebay shipped for45 canadian.its in the mail so now after your review i cant wait to get out there. but i a rc crazies canada on instagram and fb so ill see to it that i make this boat better.. one thing i didnt hear you say was the motor type..brushed or brushless how many kv. whats the esc can it take a 3s lipo...
