Great tips, especially the hiding of loot and parking ones, I didn’t know about either, and I’ll definitely try them.
But the one about storms in solo I don’t necessarily agree with, it is very dangerous, but I wouldn’t say it’s suicide, for if you are being chased by a Galleon, that is what I’d suggest doing, for you can’t sink one with just cannonballs, but if you go in and out of a storm, I’ve had them lose interest, due to the difficulty of catching you, I don’t know if I would suggest it for new players, but it’s something to keep in mind.
But besides that, I found this video very helpful, and will defiantly try them when I play again.

Another tip is when u don’t want to engage and a boat is chasing u drop gunpowder barrels it will do a ton of damage to their ship and could possibly sink them

most of the time while chasing we either have a navigator watching the ship and the sea so they would shoot a barrel before it comes to our ship and we don't sail directly behind the other boat we try to head to one side for cannon shots and boarding but if the enemy is chasing right behind with no navigator go for it

Nah on a gallion we have about 5 snakes cages in lower deck around our loot blind them bitches kill them easy. Edit: Sloops go faster against the Wind than a gallion use that to get away faster

I was just screwing around with some friends for like an hour and we were about to do the skull island raid thing but right when we set sail the skull disappeared, we found the Gallion and we fought it, sunk it as well as ourselves in the process, rushed back to the island and got almost all the treasure, all three of us got 5k gold each and we made off with the goods easy it was amazing

Solo storm sailing is easy enough actually. Just drop anchor and ride it out. Bail youself.
Or, if you take a lightning hit, THEN drop so you can patch up. Or just keep going straight till your out and check on occasion for holes. The map just behind you is uneffected by the storm so you can see if you got spun around

Loved the video. Just one correction it's actually very easy to survive a storm by yourself. First step anchor down this obviously stops you from moving. Second step grab a bucket and some planks you'll need them. Third step make sure the lights in the hold are on you'll want to see the water level. Fourth and final step SURVIVE!! really this last step isn't hard it just involves paying attention to the holes in your ship and the water level.

I never seem to hear any cool tips on this, always the same ones. There's some weird shit in this game that no one ever touches on, for example..what's up with that hatred skull or whatever it's name was? Was it and the skull cloud talking back and forth,and did that skull help fuck my boat up? Another example;what's the deal with that mermaid island or whatever's it's name. Place is crazy cool,all kinds of short cuts and other things.

Dropping the anchor should only be used in emergency in my opinion. It takes so long to bring up, in either ship, and you don't want to be a sitting duck if an enemy ship comes. Instead, simply put your sails up from a decent distance away, and you will softly glide to a stop, and your ship won't go anywhere. From a stop, you can turn the wheel to quickly make the ship face any direction. The only thing the ship will do, is turn in place UNLESS you have the wheel completely straight and centered, in which case it won't turn at all (or very, very slightly if so). This allows you to get moving again immediately as soon as you get back on your ship, as all you have to do is drop the sails, and you're immediately at full speed. 1 second is much faster than the 8-20 seconds or so of raising anchor (depending on the ship type), and doesn't leave you completely vulernable if a ship comes!

the only thing is that takes up a lot more skill and coordination than anchor dropping if you have a good crew anchor dropping isn't too bad it's an easy and fast way to get to the island and then it might take a while to get back out on a galleon but as long as you got 2 or 3 on it you're all good but if your crew can handle sail stopping that's great for combat

Re: Tip #6. The reason that sometimes you're not given the option to load or unload cannon balls is that to have the option to load, you must first equip your cannon balls. And to unload, you must have fewer than 10 in your personal inventory. You can't load what you don't have handy. And you can't take what you have no room for.

it may have just been an issue with the beta, but I've definitely had times where even with cannon balls out and not holding the max no option is given. i personally think you should drop what supplies (bananas/cannon balls/planks) you have on you when you die. right now you can jump on an enemy ship and deplete their resources and just die to spawn back on boat with them
