If I may ask what do the cruise extras cost on average. Basically what should one plan to spend after the cost of the cruise tickets?

Alcohol can add up VERY fast, plus there is an automatic additional gratuity added onto each drink. There are drink packages, but everyone in your stateroom must purchase the package, and I think you need to consume at least 8 drinks per day each just to break even on the cost.

You have gratuities which is around $12 per person per day, then any alcohol and soft drinks, that can add up quickly. Also any services you want to use, such as the SPA, gambling, bingo, etc.... Then you have shore excursions if you choose to take any, they can range from $50 to $200 each. However, you don't NEED to do any of these things, it is all your choice.
