I was actually doing research on food dye they add to oranges before they ship them to grocery stores to make them look more appealing. Anyways, they add citrus red dye #2 and it can cause bladder tumors and I read that and then just watched this episode and thought maybe you could use the info and avoid foods with the red dye. So glad everything turned out well!

From Australia. As a fellow bladder cancer survivor ( diagnosed 2005 through to 2009), still have regular checkups every 2 years. To add to your observations smokers, elderly, printers, panel beaters/spray painters, and hairdressers are all at a higher risk of bladder cancer due to chemical exposure evidently. I'm given to understand if you remain cancer free for 10 years you are considered to be cured. My urologist insists that 2 yearly check ups should be considered mandatory. Any male who has had bladder cancer will understand when I say I started out a .22 calibre and am now a .45 calibre. Good luck with your ongoing health.

https://youtu.be/0QqAzs0TF6A My Mom died from cancer, and I didn't know about this... Maybe it will help you... Doctors will call him 'the piss doctor' to bad-mouth Dr. Burzynski, but the perfect example of us using what's at our fingertips to cure a problem is with antibiotics... Antibiotics were found from a fungus by a Doctor who was put through medical school by his best friends father (back before you could get loans to pay for schooling)... He paid back his best friend's father by saving his life when he got sick, using a synthetic derivative from a spore... This story is told to ALL medical students at the onset of their journey through college to keep them motivated... Look into it... Also, a doctor who is from Mexico has come out with a cure (NOT a "treatment", their IS a difference) for H.P.V. ... I'll look for the video again and post it in a response to my post here... Good luck to everyone who is going through cancer, I hope you get better so you can be with your families and friends.

Oh my God my heart sunk when I read the caption. I did not know about bladder cancer. Missed that video I guess. So glad to hear your results were negative. I have lost family to the C-word. I hate that word. Great episode with lots of new and exciting changes for your family. Just awesome!!! Looks like you are a real captain. You made it out no problem, but you make me laugh all the time. Safe travels to you all. Look forward to the next video as always.

Another hit. Glad yawl got back to Big D (or close enough to it). So glad to hear Renee was given a clean bill of health. Congrats to Jack and Anna on passing those drivers test. Kate is so much better off with invisaline than braces. I hated mine as a kid. Ben played a great version of Voodoo Child :) And I see yawl loaded up on Dr Pepper! SWEET! Kitty just needs some time to adapt to his new surroundings. He will be napping on the deck in no time. That go-fast dingy is AWESOME. As always, fair winds and following seas.

Hey I just want to let you know I want to thank you for sharing because what you're doing it's your helping to educate the community. And as we all know the more information we can shed light on the community the more lives will be saved.

I understand that it may be a bit uncomfortable to share this. But I want to thank you for being brave enough to. And this is so important for the rest of us to understand. First of all get a regular checkup, and if there's something that doesn't seem right let the professionals do the deal.

But once again thank you so much for sharing this, most people just don't have a clue I'm just how important this is.........

Watch this video on how to protect your body against cancer, even if you have it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW3WqSG2Eo4 Then I recommend you buying the Red Raspberry seed powder in bulk, make a tea out of it, add lemon and honey and drink it everyday. Also, order Moringa powder and take a teaspoon of it every day as well.

TO SAILING ZATAR I have noticed that several times as you were sailing there were Dolphins tracking right along on the front of your boat. I once heard Barry McGuire, the guy who sung “Eve of Destruction” He tells a story of how one time when he was coming in from a fishing trip and there was a Dolphin tracking the front of the boat. He went and got a towel and tied a knot in the end and laid on the front of the boat and took the towel and hit the Dolphin on his fin. He said the Dolphin looked up at him and then swam off. He said he was upset and didn’t mean to run it off. But about 10 minutes later the Dolphin returned with about 20 other Dolphins who wanted to get hit with the towel. He said he spent the next 45 munities whacking Dolphins. What a story. It sounds crazy but maybe you should try it. It would make a great episode.

I discovered your channel today. I am an invasive bladder cancer survivor. I was diagnosed just over a year and a half ago. After trying to remove my tumors, we discovered that my cancer was deep in the wall of the bladder. I had several months of chemo early last year, then surgery in June to remove my bladder. i live with a stoma now and I guess what you'd call an 'external bladder' :) I am happily cancer free! I have to live without a bladder, but if that's what it takes to survive, I'm okay with that. I'm SO happy that your pathology came back clear. What wonderful news!! New subscriber and I'm looking forward to binge watching your videos this weekend!!

Wow, so glad you overcame; and I feel the same way: just give me a bladder in a fannypack and let me watch my kids grow old! That’s why they made me do a CT scan that same day...it had been almost two years since my last checkup and they wanted to make sure it hadn’t been invasive.
Cheers to you!

Loma Linda university Redlands ca. A medical Dental Nursing etc school publishes a magazine called "vibrant life"one month was called the special cancer addition emphasizing diet re cancer. Basically eat a bitter diet. Keep your ph on the alkaline side. Eat fruit/veggies avoid red meat fish is fine. It goes deeper than this so you can look it up on line. I know several friends that are now MDs from this school. when I saw you in the procedure room gowned up I was was very concerned. But the lab sounds good. I'm on the west coast.

Yes; it still strikes from time to time. We just deal with it. Barf in the toilet (not overboard, just safer) and stay in the outside air (don’t go below). Me and Jack mainly have it at the beginning of a passage, usually for the first day and then it goes away. In our opinion, it’s a small price to pay for such a great adventure!
Cheers!

One thing I admire is when you do things you do them right and don't cut corners. I'm teaching my young son that you may have to pay more up front but in the long run, more times than not, it's well worth it over the long haul. I love your new cat. How old is he? What did you name him? We have a female black and white cat that adopted us in Norther Canada, when we went camping. She must of smelled our sausages that we made for breakfast and my husband and I were dancing to Red Red Wine song and she popped out from a bush. She loves it when we embrace each other and want to be part of it.

I agree with you on wind power generators. They have their place, but you are probably right about them being inferior to solar in situations where you can have an extensive solar setup. I have a small wind power generator on our homestead (450 watts nom. 650 peak), and it generates much less power than my solar array on the average. However my thinking is "every bit counts". It greatly helps out with charging the battery bank at night, where we have a lot of wind this time of year. My battery bank was rarely topped off this winter, So for us it has been godsend. I suspect this winter it was responsible for about 45% of our total electricity, where as in the summer It will probably account for an insignificant amount.

For you guys having many more hours of daylight, and the boat having a lot of surface area, Solar is the no-brainer. My wind power station is away from our camper so the noise is no issue for me, but I do see your point with that. And some are noisier than others. The other downside is the cost of them is not always competitive to solar either. It depends on the application.

Thanks for "visa" Q/A:
Do you know what is typical procedure, according to international/local marine law, if situation like that:

not all passangers have visa to a paticular country, which you are about to dock/drop anchor. So, you put yellow flag and ...

1. Is she/he staying aboard?
2. Are you allowed to dock/moor at all?
3. Should captain expect any fine for that?

Presumably answer is (1).

Great video! But Renee, that was a mean trick to throw that clip out, early, with you prepped for surgery. My heart sank! ☹️ But I’m glad everything worked out for the best. Congratulations Anna and Jack on the new Texas drivers licenses. And to you Kate on the new braces. I had braces, the old metal kind. My whole time I lived in Amarillo, my sister called me tin grin. And Finn, I want to see you man handling that new Dingy. Show Anna how to drive it. Well that leaves Keith. You are a great husband and father and pretty good at dingy selection. I don’t have to say be safe because you always demonstrate good judgment, rather on the boat or on land.

Amazing tech to monitor any reoccurring growth. Best of health to you and may the C never return.
In Australia and New Zealand we teach our driving students to place their hand in the steering wheel at 10 and 2 or close to it. In an emergency such as a blow out or a road obstacle or accident hands at the bottom of the steering wheel is not best practice.
Safe travels to the newly licenced to be responsible on the road.

i'm writing this with much relief. a few years back, i had a scare of my own with cancer, so i get how you feel. at the time the dr said he'd call with my results and say one of two things. either "it's nothing" or "which oncologist" i should see. thankfully it was the former. i'll keep you in my prayers!!

jack - many moons ago, i met a young lady from nz. we had a quick fling before she had to return home. let me tell you, i risked life, limb and my future to see her again. i'd love to tell you it worked out, but i'd be lying. however, i have no regrets, it was worth every tear i shed. yeah sailors do cry sometimes. good luck, mate!

Keith - QUESTION - With the Heighfield how did you get the "wood" deck/floor in it? I noticed the same on the La Vagabond dinghy but I can't see the order option on Highfields website. Also, I kind of like the darker color on the La Vagabond dinghy and I can't see that option either? I know you're going to think I'm some Wingnut on YouTube but I've already cured two people I know of cancer and so I'm going to give you this easy simple tip this is benign it will not hurt her and it will not interfere with any of her chemotherapy or big Pharma approved medications but this is how you can kill cancer and root it out baking soda and molasses or honey on an empty stomach at bedtime take a teaspoon of additive free baking soda and 1 teaspoon of honey with 4ozs of warm water .
drink for 3 weeks ....your cancer will be gone.
The cancer cells love the sugar so by binding the baking soda with the sugar it tricks the cancer into eating the baking soda which is high Alkali and it kills It Off I don't know how it works I just know it works you got nothing to lose.... do it

Keith, I have what is perhaps a controversial question for you. Although as far as I've seen on all your previous videos thankfully you've never had any serious run-in's with "bad people" in your travels so far, do you mind me asking if you carry a firearm on board? Being a Texas/Montana boy I'll assume you have experience and are likely proficient with firearms and firearm safety. I'd be very interested to know the legalities/issues with foreign customs, etc regards carrying a firearm and ammunition on board. If you don't keep a firearm on board, what are your alternative weapons/defense plans in the event that God forbid there is one day a problem? For those that are opposed to firearms in general, it is not my intent to ask a "political" or uncomfortable question so please don't hate on anyone. Regardless of anyone's personal opinions, International Waters in general can be fairly lawless and help/law enforcement is almost never right around the corner or a just phone call away, especially when far from shore. Protecting one's family and home(boat in this case) is a mans most important responsibility. I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on that subject. (P.S. - I'm wondering if you've considered as a defense measure to permanently mount the inflatable Pink Flamingo to the bowsprit of Zatara? I feel as though that alone would be a very powerful deterrent/show of force. My research shows not one single incident in recorded nautical history where a boat with an inflatable Pink Flamingo mounted as the figurehead has ever even ONCE been the target of piracy or any other crime on the high seas. I feel that history clearly shows this to be a VERY effective and powerful defensive tactic. Just throwing that out there as a suggestion - as well as to perhaps remove some of the tension from this subject.)

I want to share some velieves I have abaud what I see in this vidio, I worries maybe is not respectfull say my opinions, but I thing the health is more important than the education: I believe the litle girl canot grow hes mouth vicause of lag of vitamin k2 ho carry the calcium, she is on time to finish she's development, she can have the vitamins she needs from liver of wild animals, rooten meds, and another organ meats like brains and kidneys can help to have proper notricion, shes eyebags are another sign of malnotricion, the motive of overweigt of other family members is olso the lag of vitamins present in organ meats, ho maques them hungree all the time, the wild humans more apreciated food are organ meeds that is wy they don't know cancer. I sugest don't trow the liver and head of the fishes wen you fish, coked in low temperature and eat them and the oil witch they trow. I olso subgest to cut all carbs and heat as much fat do you need for saciete because absorve carbs consumes double of vitamins than the absorcion of fat. If you don't have able organ meeds you can substitute them with fish oil and cod liver oil https://youtu.be/2nzCZSAMSF8
I apologize for the intromission in your diet.

It was a joy and a treasure to meet your wonderful family in both Miami and in Tx. Thanks for being so candid and sharing the roller coaster that is life so openly with all of us and answering our many questions about the sailing life. I am so glad you got good news back from the biopsy but that was still a serious scare that I would imagine weighs heavy on your heart. And I can not imagine all you have been through. If you are at all interested, I have an IG under the same name, ketochrissysue and I don't sell anything I just share low sugar gluten free low carb recipes and tips for the keto lifestyle. The keto diet has been used to help treat and prevent some cancers by starving them of the glucose they need to grow. Something to research. But you are in my prayers and also only a mssg away if you have any questions or ever just need a shoulder. Your family is so amazing, you truly must be an amazing mom. Prayers for good health & much Love from TX

Cats stink so bad. I couldn't imagine having one on a boat. The smell of cat urine while I'm sea sick wouldn't help me either. If there is a litter box, its gonna smell. Glad your trip to the doc had good news. :) Luv your show

No, litter box with correct litter (puss prob been trained at the shelter) don't smell IF you empty the wet and sticky litter often, and you really need to do it often, I agree on that cat pee smell though - can't stand it myself either. btw only wet and sticky litter needs to be removed, the rest can be left, don't fill the box right up either 1/2 to 3/4 inch is heaps if it's emptied often.

+Arnold Lueders they are not your average family but not because they come from wealth, they come from working and saving. I know people that have an aircraft and they are middle class.

+Jeffrey Kiger If that is what they did, great. But they make themselves out to be these "average income" family that is doing this. "Follow your dreams" family. I call bullshit. Would 72,000 people watch if they were just millionaires doing this? NO CHANCE. If you watch the other sailing channels, none of them can afford that boat and dingy and everything they do with being rich. If you are rich, good for you, but don't act like you are from a small town in Texas that you just worked hard and made this happen. One of them comes from money or something.
Jeffrey Kiger
Jeffrey Kiger - 5 years ago
Arnold Lueders ok your average is what...., it’s not really something you can’t build up to “like they did”. Watch your budget, pay cash, use sponsorship, be camera happy. It’s obvious they are not “average” people, that’s what makes them special. I can make excuses all day why I can’t follow my dream, but I’m like many, wait for the perfect opportunities. I would also say their timing has been perfect for this media.
Arnold Lueders
Arnold Lueders - 5 years ago
+Sailing Zatara OK, if you guys sold your house for your boat and your car for that dingy, then MAYBE you are an "average" family. But if you still own a house/cars and can afford invisaline for your kids and not have patrons and fly all over to Texas and boat shows, etc., then you are NOT an "average" income family. It's like saying is "all you need is a couple three million dollars in the bank and you too can have this life.

This is one of your best videos, entertaining and very informative, thanks. (My mom passed away last year from Cancer after an 8 year battle. Please remember that all Cancers feed on sugar, glucose and simple carbohydrates, so keep mostly a vegetarian diet and stay away from glucose and carbohydrates and you’ll be fine for many many more years -at the end Cancer didn’t kill my mom, but the drugs she was given for 8 years destroyed her liver and kidneys. I pray that you will never need to worry about any of that. Safe sailing ⛵️ )

Some states do require boaters safety course. It’s only for people born after certain dates. I’m too old to need the certificate because I was grandfathered in. I think it’s born after mid 1980’s in most states.

No problem for me in that department, six years as a navigating cadet, third officer with celestial and terrestrial navigation, coastal and deep water experience although it was several moons ago. I was wondering what was needed for ‘yacht masters’ if anything. Thanks.
Underground Frenchy
Underground Frenchy - 5 years ago
You can just buy a boat and go. I wouldn’t recommend it though. You should stick to coastal cruising for a few years before you just takeoff out into the blue. That being said, a lot of people buy a boat, and cross the ocean successfully with little to no experience. Navigation is the biggest problem for most new sailors. Even the most experienced have hit bottom, and things on the bottom, because they couldn’t figure out where they are on a chart.
