There is an easier way to begin this. Don't go through the wind until you're on the leeward side. Second, feet around first, try to keep pressure in the rig and pull yourself across the board. Then backwind your way around.

If you can do something in high winds, can you do it in low winds? Because i never harnessed before 3 days ago and i found it very easy. Its just go with it make speed and go upwind. The only thing i need to work on is tacking and jibes.

Brilliant - best tack tuition I've seen so far - especially bothering to mention the slight oversheet when the sail is raked back - many top instructors do this so intuitively, they forget to mention it..
(I also think it might be worth discussing whether the oversheet manoeuvre helps set up a slight twisting 'moment' from which you can scissor the board round - or at least that's what I do - or is that a bad habit?)
