For the shots from the bow there is a link in the description of the video that show how I mounted it. For the shots from the back I use the suction cup mount and a extender bar.

@bollcalle11 I think that most of it was at 720p @ 30fps. I find that 720p recording are much easier to work with and makes for a lot smaller files witch is nice if you are recording for long periods of time.

Nice video!!! I'm trying to figure out how to mount the gopro on my dingy's mast, and saw that you have made a "mast mount" in PVC. Could you maybe tell me a little more about that or send me a picture of it? Sounds really cool… ;D

@jasonosaj2008 I have mounted on my back of the boat but never on the rudder. I used the suction cup mount. It seemed to work well. There are 2 other place that I have mounted it witch are not in this video. 1 almost on the top of the mast using a custom mount I made out of PVC 2 on the end of the boom facing forwards using the roll bar mount If you give me your email or send me one Kylemartin101@gmail.com I will send you some photos of the mounts. well, i am focusing on my studies this year, so i will only participate in our country's championship , and there is a chance that i may go to the European championship in the summer. but who knows :P , i am just enjoying the moment, and this magnificent sport called sailing :)

@jasonosaj2008 Wow that is awesome. I live and sail out of Vancouver, Canada but also do a lot of sailing in the US as well as some regattas in Europe. Are you going to any of the European event this year?

@eabassili I mount my GoPro right on the bow eye using a GoPro tripod mount. I find that this is the best way to go. I have seen it mounted using a sticky mount and then it was behind the eye. If you search “How To Mount a GoPro HERO on a Laser” you will find a video that I put up showing how I mount mine. -Kyle
