that "Lift here" strap, could that really be able to life someone in the air and would it hurt if you were lifted up in the life jacket?

+cat vs dog From Spinlock: The ‘Lift Here’ strap is looked for and used by rescuers to lift a casualty from the water and as such is clearly marked. The lifting strap is defined as part of the lifejacket construction under ISO12402. As such it is rigorously tested and its construction approved. Being lifted from the water is never comfortable, but the standard ensures it is as kind as possible to the casualty.
