Concerning manoeuvrability in the marina: my idea would be mounting a liftable outboard engine (let's say 10 or 15 PS) to one of the side hull's platform in the back. Did you think about that?
Then wiring and positioning it's handle beside the handle of the main engine.
Before you enter the marina, you lift it down.
So you have 2 engines for manoeuvring for a reasonable effort. In addition you could use this outboard engine as a backup, if the main engine fails (technical problem or propeller blocked). Double safety. ;)
In addition you could use it as a backup for the dinghy or even use the dinghy's engine as the "steering engine" if you wish (which I personally wouldn't do because every time mounting / dismounting would be a pain).

Thanks for feedback. It wouldn't work. The platforms can get full submerged and as a stern thruster think it's gonna be a mission to use. In reality, less lifting in a daily basis the better. Gonna be dangerous too. With respect to engine failure. Use the sails..... You'll probably bang the boat if you sail into the marina but you get home.

thanks, good point with the smaller dinghy. Nearly all YT sailers said, they would go bigger with their motor or dinghy, but I see your stand point. Biger is not always better, especially when you're handling the stuff allone. Keep us up to date, cheers, Tom
