Paolo, that's correct. NOAA is a US Government agency. Outside of continental US waters, you can find charts in the locator for Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the Hawaiian Islands, Midway Island, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands.

Thanks, Bill. Indeed, navigation has come a long way since I navigated ships without GPS. It was "edge of your seat" sometimes, when I think back on it. Charts are still absolutely necessary, but we can let the black boxes do most of it. Save the paper charts for orientation, landfall and entry, and planning. Thanks for your comments!
