We decided to take a day off from our DIY sailboat refit to take a day trip so that Rossella could celebrate her birthday by the three of us seeing her sister, brother in-law and nephews, who were visiting London from Italy. A brilliant day was had by all and, as we met each other in London (on a random night out in 2005) it is a city which will always be close to our hearts. Just a quick note with Jubilee clamps ( hose clamps)- Never over tighten. If you are squashing the hose ( like in the video) then you are way to tight. Most fuel and water and air hoses are 2 layers with a woven nylon weave in between each layer. If you over tighten, the barb on the fitting can (will) cut the inner layer allowing the media to leak in between. This is most notable on air hoses where they puff up and look like a snake eating a rat. easy fix, remove the hose, cut an inch off the end and reinstall.
Never, NEVER resinstall a clamp on to the original end- always cut back 1 inch.

I have the same motor on my boat but single cylinder ( it looks like yours maybe a twin? )
I cant get to the sump plug so I had to resort to sucking the oil out with a cheap pump via the dip stick.
The pump didnt like the heavy old oil, I fried it (the pump). I suspect its never been changed.
The guy in the oil shop recommended I buy a plastic vacuum canister because its the thing people have
the most success with, but I choked on the price. I should have put some kero in it to thin it.

I have a 2002 - yours in much better condition than mine!
Parts are expensive (OEM parts) - an impeller for the raw-water pump is around $60 Australian dollars (around 1.5 inches in diameter) - so if I could offer any advise, buy non-OEM parts
The exhaust elbow is around $400 Australian dollars - mine is in good shape (engine done 2900 hrs) and I've heard you can remove internal corrosion by soaking the elbow in muriatic acid - that job is on my radar of things to do
