Do you have a way for putting the GoPro up front below the jib?
Or just GoPro mounting ideas in general on the cat.

I did not get what you did for the trapèzes lines. Could you explain please? As I cannot see us moving the base of the lines like you did. We have a AHPC F16 viper

Yes, sorry perhaps not so clear - This is only really relevant for the Hobie 16 where you can slide the trapeze lines out of the way so that in light winds they don't catch on the tiller extension.

Is there a reason for easing the downhaul in light winds other than allowing the mast to rotate? Would you lose power in light winds?

@Steven Vachon I hope I understood your question correctly. If your boat is standing on the beach with the hulls in the wind and the Cunningham is tight, then your mast starts beating like a fish fin, that's why you should open the Cunningham on the beach. So not only the sail, but also the mast and the wires are protected.

@Joseph Bennett I see....so even in high winds a tight downhaul equals less power? When you release it when the boat is parked, that's just to ease the pressure to prolong life on the sail?

when you pull the downhaul the minimum it puts the most curve in the sail for max power, as you pull on more the sail starts to become flatter giving you less power.
With zero downhaul the sail is shapeless - more like a battened flag

I guess it is because of the shape like a wing, the Wind on the upside/leeside has a longer way to pass the wing(sail) as in the downside/luvside and this momentum increases Speed or lift up at planes.

What are your average wind speeds and air temps in December and January? I need to visit

Not so good - the only wind we get at that time is with a storm, our season runs from May - October
