For jibs that have the forestay and the halyard in a pocket like the Tiger, it is convenient NOT to shackle in the jib at the bottom first. Then you can pull the end of the halyard further down, to comfortably undo the forerunner and weave in the jib tensioning purchase and then let down the jib again to fasten the neck.
It is way more comfortable than doing all this way over your head with just cms of room.
