Most boats can point much closer to the wind and still be affective and in some cases faster and always make sure to look with your head.

You use Joey Tribbiani's "Smell-the-fart" technique for wind direction as well. Cool!

I think thats a pretty good way to find wind direction. "look around with your head" sounds about right to me. pretty funny though for sure i got a kick out of it.

it is very simple, many people just like over-complicating it to make themselves look smart, it takes real genius to simplify it for the masses to understand. the last bit in the video is pure genius due to it's simplicity, just let the sail dictate where it wants to go and simply guide it a little for better performance.

Simple video, certainly not complicated, but good for beginners. Not that not all boats can point at the same height upwind. Some boats may perform better upwind, downwind, on a reach, etc than another.
