Thanks captain. And Ken. Good stuff. I met a breakbulk captain in China and he said his other captain friend was boarded by pirates in Somalia. The insurance company settled with the pirates for abt USD 1million but part of the deal was after receiving the money, the pirates had to stay on board in case they got boarded AGAIN by another pirate group. Then awhile later a helicopter showed up and literally dropped off bags containing the one million. I know this sounds far fetched but I had lunch on-board this handimax vessel in Caofeidian,China with captain and crew. We had a very nice meal.

So Ken, When is the "Ken's Aquarius Knowledge Store" going live. I am waiting tp purchase your maintenance spreadsheet and now I want to order the checklists and safety protocols. I know the RYA and other bodies teach these things but their approach is long winded by necessity. Yours could bullet points. Add the sensible man overboard plan -stop the boat. We are in Malaysia, just about 500 meters North of Singapore at ONE 15 Marina. We got stopped and detained by the Singapore Police two days ago. They said we crossed into their water, but would not tell us where. 2.5 hours later they let us go. :)
