I am an American disabled vet and I recently started sailing with Warrior Sailing. They taught me how to sail and I find a great piece when I am on the water. It has changed my life so much so in my healing process that my wife and I recently bought our first sailboat. I love your videos and have learned so much from you. Thank you!!! We hope to see you on the water sometime and get to meet you.

On a serious note, putting opened cans in a fridge is a SERIOUS health hazard and should be avoided at all costs, amazed you didnt realise hun but yourll want to stop doing that hun <3

Hi, thanks for your concern, it made us do some research! After reading up on the subject, we are still OK with the advice, although we agree that decanting is a better way to go if another glass jar is available. The most credible opinion we found is from science.org, which states: "According to Carl Batt, a food microbiologist at Cornell University, the real reason you shouldn’t keep open cans in the refrigerator is because it causes the food to tasted “canned.” It’s harder to get a good seal over a can to keep foods from drying out or sucking up other flavors/scents from the enclosed space. While leaching of plastic residue or metal into the can probably isn’t a big health concern, it can definitely affect flavor." https://sciencenotes.org/why-you-shouldnt-store-open-cans-in-the-fridge/

Avoiding glass on the boat is a good one. Some things can't be helped (gin), but cooking oil in glass bottles is the worst... if it smashes, it's slippery and will cut your feet.

Don't forget to throw away the packaging you don't need . Especially cardboard. Nasty crawlers might call it "home". Write the content and expiration date with permanent marker pen.
Buy a block of ice and it will keep the refrigerator cool for longer. Or buy frozen bottles of water prior to departure.
Most importantly: ship nor crew can live without gin, tonic and lemon.
Enjoy!

Bread doesn't last long but toast is the right way to go? Wut.

Ha true, "toast" the European way of saying bread in a packet (as opposed to bread from the bakery - this is because in the Caribbean, bakeries are scarce). We should have cleared that up. Thanks for the question.
