Good tip about the 'locking turn' I can see why that is important. I note from a different video the correct 'fist over fist' method of working too, to avoid losing fingers. I think there are a lot of aspects to winch safety not covered in this video My winches for example only work one way, I am still not sure how to safely pay out a sheet under tension when the winch is set to wind it in. I don't have a friction clutch unfortunately - I guess I'll have to wait till my Comp-Crew next season
