The Unexpected Can Be The Most Enjoyable (Sailing La Vagabonde) Ep. 125

Bye bye to the lovely Josje and Tunisia. Checkout Josjes channel below! http://bit.ly/Ramatree Off we go, sailing upwind for a 260nm journey to Sardinia. On top of that, a broken engine upon our arrival means we received some help upon our arrival. But this has got to be one of my favourite adventures of the year! It’s funny how when things don’t go as smooth as you’d expected, those end up being the best memories. Glad everything turned out well.
I found you two amazing adventurers just recently and I am lost in your videos and stricken by a bit of wanderlust and a need to seek the type of freedom you have.. God bless you both on your journeys and never stop, never lose your sense of adventure and love for one another.
Love it all :)
Why not go to Egypt next? I am going there for a week of diving mid february. Will dive the BLUE HOLE!! WOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Episode 1 to 124.

By the Riley, That looks like THE BLOODS coming out of your head.
If you don't the who THE BLOODS are.
Just say, "go the SWANIES"...... Mate.
if filter is full of water engine will die. (so have some spare fuel filter in reserve) or buy filter with separation for water (http://www.osculati.com/hr/cat/imgHigh/17.661.60.jpg )
A bigger crew may spice it up further...
Oh yes ...... its working just fine ☺
Love you fools
Cant wait to see where were going next?
Cheers
That's impossible!

Riley, here is an amazing story that you should read. A guy paddled a kayak from Germany to Australia.

Another inspiring saga;
Göran Kropp rode his bicycle 13,000 K from Sweden to Nepal,,, climbed Everest without oxygen,,, rode back to Sweden.
They are awesome and zero maintenance.
You may want to google the "Greatest Scientific Swindle of all Time" to get more info.

Great to see Josje and Elayna having a ball, and that you were made pretty welcome in Tunisia. One day I'm sailing to there, fascinating place. Guess they were surprised by Riley's hand washing technique, but at least he got out of there without it being chopped off.... :-)
core part of the Delos success. Too bad Brady did not stick up for her.
Perhaps you could tell us your intentions. You picked up the boat and I thought you were making your way back to (forgive me on this part) Australia or New Zealand. Yet instead you are wandering about the mediteranean. Yet you mentioned in your vids that you plan to come stateside. Do you plan to sail up the coast when it gets warmer and go the steamship route of England past Iceland over to Greenland and down the states to Florida? Or are you just going to cut across the open sea to the other side? Tho I think if you do go straight across you should get a third as it will help with the watches on the open emptieness.
It's probably Buddist musik from Tibet or Nepal, atleast it sounded similar to it.
Riley seems like an accident waiting to happen.
back and watched your first video. The change in production value is night and
day. Nicely done.
tunisian fan since year
I have to confess to having reached an age where I might be memory challenged. Please remind me of any equipment failures before this recent engine module.-Ray
Bonus!: you each control each others drink as well.
It's easier when you know were to go, go slowly, keep a hand on dropping the sail, use your momentum and have the paddle (even it's looking pointless) ready.
Perhaps it's the size, which make it more difficult and fearsome, but their should be many boats, around the world and in the past, without a motor doing it.
I say this because, I had to do it to get my captain's license.
You're contradicting what the official sailing examiner told us .
Either you control the ship or signalize it as uncontrollable.
Using sails to get alongside a concrete dock in a 1 million dollar boat when help is available is just foolhardy and dangerous, such actions should be discouraged not bragged about, we don’t encourage sailors to sail into storms to get experience, just in case they happen to end up in one someday, that too would be the actions of a careless captain.
If you have a problem and choose to refuse to ask for help just so you can cowboy in to look cool on YouTube instead of taking the safer for everyone and everything option, you only look stupid if things go wrong.
Asking for advice is ok, but towing the boat… perhaps not enough wind but then, why not use it's own dinghy?
I did it in tight spaces, with expensive yacht around, it isn't such a big thing, either you're a captain or...
All I'm saying is with a disabled engine they did the right thing to ask for help. Practicing in an expensive boat around other expensive boats with a disabled engine is what a moron would do...
They don't, not the one on which I made my license, we needed to get into the port only by wind, if you can't do it in calm condition, no license!
The wailing reminded me of your first episode cheekily wailing away in your wetsuit.
