10 Facts About Great White Sharks

Remarkably little is known about great white sharks, but they are similar to humans in a lot of ways - they give birth to live young, maintain a higher body temperature than their surroundings and they are apex predators. There are also many misconceptions about these sharks: people think they don't get cancer and that they reside mainly in shallow waters near beaches. In this video I summarize some of the most interesting things I learned about sharks on my cage diving adventure. Special thanks to Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions for making this trip possible: http://bit.ly/rodneyfox Thanks also to Tourism South Australia for facilitating the trip: http://bit.ly/1aq9MgV Chris Cassella or C² as he is known after this trip was a shark spotter extraordinaire. He also took some of the best shark footage in this video. It was his idea to go on this expedition, which was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, so I am in his debt. Chris, I look forward to going on more great adventures with you. Check out Chris's facebook page ScienceAlert http://on.fb.me/18nhyLp

I recall a factual documentary on the whole cancer/shark thing. It wasn't really about sharks not getting cancer, it was about not getting bone cancer....because they have no bones. So shark cartilage was the big mystery, why doesn't this stuff get attacked by cancer? I believe the Chinese have been eating shark-fin soup for longer than we've known about cancer so that point is moot. Shark cartilage was then harvested and crushed into powder that people thought would stop them getting cancer. As for big tumours, if you're just looking at this tumour on film and assuming cancer this is incorrect, the tumour might not be cancerous. This documentary was in the early 90's and then they stated that nobody knows how long sharks live for. I came here to see if that were still the case because I know they have been tracked so what gives? Do we know how long they live yet or what?

Hey Veritasium.
I found your channel today after it was recommended today by several friends of mine. I binged watched your "new here try these vids" up until here and I love how you communicate science. However I would consider this video a black spot on your vest. Why? Because you're with a shark tour, in (what appears to me) relative proximity to the coast. Where you say sharks don't live. Where they shouldn't live. Where People live and bathe. And you're on a Shark/Tourism trip, where Sharks get fed. While in Proximity to People. To ships. To swimmers/Divers (even if in a cage). I haven't seen one yet, but I'm pretty sure you've got a vid about Pavlov?
Australia is infamous with shark fans about shark attacks, shark hunts and shark feeding, and all of this ties together for some part.
For those uninformed: Feeding sharks attracts more sharks. It teaches them that People=Food (not are, but get associated with). So they will search out people. They will stay closer to the coast. This is a problem. And with this video, you are further propagating this behaviour and also maybe spreading the will to do something similar with other people. For a channel of this format and a person of your intelligence, I am deeply disappointed by this.

Why on earth would someone want more sharks in the sea it's a danger to ever living creature in sea
number1zoog
number1zoog - 8 years ago
+nikhil srinivasan What kind of question is that. No sharks means way too many seals and fish which in turn means no small fish which the seals eat which in turn means that the seals and fish die off and so. Pretty much no sharks means no everything. Everything would die if there were no sharks in the sea.

Also sharks pose practically no danger to humans. Each year, only an average of one person dies from a shark attack in the US. In contrast, nearly 24,000 people are killed each year world wide by lightning.

Sharks are a vital part of the ecosystem. A better question to ask is what animal would want a human anywhere near the sea?

+Udayverr Singh, there are a lot of assumptions in what you said. As a thought experiment let me suggest that this one statement sharks are the top predator, is totally false because a sperm whale kills way more animals than a teeny tiny shark by comparison, and what natural predator does a sperm whale have to worry about? I might say that in a certain light whales are above sharks. Regardless if you assume that a neo-darwinistic evolution is true, then how can you say that from such a perspective removing any species from the equation would be "bad" or "good", wouldn't the rest of the species adjust accordingly, as they are all fighting for their own survival? That seems to be the underlying principle of the whole schema in the first place. Isn't this why some say that it would be better for the rest of the planet if WE (who are the real top) were removed from the equation?

So I'm not sure if such a statement that you made earlier is logically coherent or even consistent with such a philosophical framework. (but that doesn't mean that I am saying we should kill all the sharks cause we can- I am not. It's just a thought experiment)
Exedra
Exedra - 7 years ago
Sharks were the original predator of the ocean and forced the ocean-dwelling creatures to evolve. Sharks play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the ocean ecosystem. It is said that sharks have not changed for 2 million years which indicates that not only were they the top predator, but allowed for biodiversity to occur (through the adaptations the other creatures had to make) in the ocean. Removing the top predator of the world's largest habitat will have unspeakable effects.

Wait what? 100 million? I thought maybe like 100 thousand but 100 MILLION? Damn, that is even more fucked up than I thought. And the fact that they're only out for their fins makes it even worse. Why not use the whole body if you're going to kill something? Use as much as you can, otherwise it's such a waste...

He must have deleted his comment since its not there any more.
mintgumdropz1
mintgumdropz1 - 8 years ago
+number1zoog Maybe so, but they deserve to live, too. humans, not so much. The planet is waaay over-crowded. There is no reason for humansd to kill sharks. Finning is cruel, and it just goes to show how ignorant, base and their foolish superstitions have killed a majestic animal. And they are cruel they are for doing so to an animal that deserves to live in peace.
number1zoog
number1zoog - 8 years ago
+number1zoog Think about it. There are roughly 7 billion humans in the world which is 70 times the number of sharks killed each year. In addition, humans live entirely on land which makes up only 30% of the worlds surface so theoretically sharks have over 2 times the amount of space to live as humans. In addition, sharks are for the most part smaller than humans and since the ocean is deep and sharks can live at all different depths, then there is even more space for sharks. So 100 million really isn't that much.

Also thats the number that google gives when you search "How many sharks do humans kill each year?"

+How To Make Sushi It isn't trying to eat you. If they tried to eat you they would lunge at you and bite down full force to take a bite. They aren't trying to take a bite. They are curious. "What the hell is this weird thing?" They don't have hands. So what do they do? They nibble on it. Thousands of razor sharp teeth means a pretty gruesome nibble. But they don't bite all the way through. They could if they wanted. Look at most surfer shark bite scars. They are scars of just the teeth marks that penetrated their skin. If the shark was intending to take a full bite, there wouldn't be anything inside of those shark teeth bites.

make no mistake it's trying to eat you when it mistakenly bites you, what it's doing is tasting you... luckily we taste like crap to a shark so then it moves on... but every shark will have to figure that out by taking a bite once in its life.

In addition to Veritasium's point on why sharks shouldn't be hunted so much; sharks are keystone species of many marine ecosystems because they prevent competitive exclusion between their prey species, who fight over the same resources until one is or nearly is extinct, by keeping them in check. Essentially, by preventing competitive exclusion, sharks stimulate more balance of food chain energy transfers through allowing greater diversity. In other words, if people didn't overhunt sharks, sharks would be allowed to regulate the populations of all the other lower trophic level species of the food chain better. No one can replace shark biological roles better than sharks because they're immersed their entire lives. Nature controls homeostasis, not the money-driven overhunting fisheries' maximal sustainable yield mumbo jumbo. And by maintaining marine ecosystems' diversity, we'd also allow the biological magnification of toxins, like mercury, to taper at a steadier rate rather than a slow rate with less diversity. There's no downside to limiting the act of overhunting.

The reason why humans see badly under water is that the eye is prepared to see well in the air, and water, having a density almost equal to the liquid inside the eye light is diverts in a different way and the image is projected more back, resulting in hyperopia. The eyes of sharks are ready to see under the water, so it can see perfectly.

Where is the "10x amount of food as other sharks" statistic come from? The only data I have been able to scrounge up for white pointer metabolism is Carey et al. 1982. Their analysis was extremely sloppy and, as the authors admit, was likely to overestimate the metabolism of their target shark (an estimated 934 kg, 4.57 meter individual). Their results indicated that even 30 kg of blubber (say from a good sized seal) would have been enough to sustain the animal for 1.5 months. In fact the authors lauded the shark's abilities to keep a body above ambient without wasting energy like a mammal and bird does. Reference: Carey, F.G., Kanwisher, J.W., Brazier, O., Gabrielson, G., Casey, J.G., Pratt Jr., H.L. 1982. Temperature and Activities of a White Shark, Carcharodon carcharias. Copeia. No. 2. 254–260.

Many if not most chemical reactions are exothermal, ie they give off heat to the environment around the reaction.
This also applies to the biological (organic chemical) reaction when ATP is changed to ADP. This is the main energy source in our cells, thus ultimately for most of our bodies.
This comes from the digested food, yes. But that's like saying a tree's leaves comes from the seed planted.

Although we require (comparatively) huge amounts of energy to keep our bodies going we can't apply it all at once.
That would simply kill our bodies.
Rather we need a tiny amount of applicable chemical energy in each and every bodily function in our cells. And thats where (mostly) the ATP-> ADP reaction cycle comes in.
Although many steps in that cycle actually require energy input to be performed that energy input is powered by the energy from previous steps.

Plus always a tiny (or even a substantial) lost amount of heat.
Which again powers the reaction speed of further steps.
A basic chemical premise is: the greater the heat the quicker the reaction speed.

All of this adds up to heat being lost to the environment, in this case not really 'lost' but used to heat up a body that would otherwise be too cold.
That's where the difference between warm-bodied and warm-blooded creatures comes in which Derek hinted at in the video.

The problem with biological systems is that we are made up of more than mere chemical reactions. Our bodies are in a fragile balance of keeping the heat up for greater efficiency in chemical reactions vs. the problems of keeping our proteins from denaturating from overheating.
Proteins are three-dimensionanlly folded molecules that most often can only fulfil their function correctly if they retain their three-dimensional structure and folding (laymen's terms here).
Once this folding unravels due to too much heat the protein stops working even if on a purely chemical basis it still remains the same molecule. But structurally it is something different and it thus fails to do its job in the body.

Warm-bodied creatures use active muscle control to heat their muscle groups which then transfers heat via conduction along the blood path to other areas of the body.
But this is not regulated by a sophisticated control system such as in warm-blooded creatures (btw: not really the scientific term). Once it reaches outer areas of the body exposed to the environment it tends to loose heat quickly. Heat distribution also occurs in a gradient from hot in muscle groups to significantly colder in the outer tissue layers.

That's also the reason why most such creatures can only sustain short bursts of high activity because their blood and temperature regulation systems are not able to cope with the heat build up in their muscles (ie a loooot of protein in muscles).
If the activity goes too high the heat from the muscle activity could damage the proteins. To prevent that evolution makes high activity only short-lived.

Warm-blooded creatures on the other hand try to regulate the body temperature within the body as equaly as possible - as long as this does not endanger the survival of the ultimate organs: heart, lungs, and brain. Once these are secured the regulatory system "goes down the list" of other less valuable organs until it achieves total heat distribution.

A fatty layer of tissue helps insulate against cold, and sweat glands help keep us cool in high heat. That's why fat people (like me, hehe) rarely feel cold, and skinny people tend towards feeling cold a lot more often. But that also means fat people sweat a lot more in our regulated homes or during hot weather than skinny people.

In hot weather people tend to get flushed because the body opens the upper tissue layers for the blood to get closer to the surface where the sweat glands are. Sweat evaporating is surprisingly effective at cooling us off. But obviously not as effective as jumping into cold water (water being a temperature conductor that is 25 times more effective than air, even with sweat evaporating on our skins).

In cases where the surrounding temperature is lower than our body temperature the body tries to preserve heat by limiting blood flow to upper tissue layers. That's the reason why first our skin feels colder, then our toes and fingers start to cramp when the body 'decides' they are loosing too much heat and restricts blood flow to them.

In cases of (for example) extreme hypothermia the circulatory blood system actually shuts off blood flow to extremities to conserve heat for the three major life-supporting organs, thus maybe extending the survival of the individual but at the cost of loosing extremities (fingers/toes first, then hands/feet, at last arms/legs). This could result in the loss even of other organs not necessary for the immediate survival of the individual.

Our regulatory system seems to have something similar to a list of triage organs which it would rather loose before others.
Not that this is a conscious decission, rather it evolved that way.
The last organ to loose a stable temperature in humans usually is the brain.

That's a reason why the human brain rarely gets warmer than 36.5° or 37° C. Even during high fevers or a heat wave. The body throws EVERYTHING in it's arsenal at the brain being kept from overheating or loosing too much heat. Our brain tissue is VERY sensitive to heat changes. Thus the body reactions include shutting down muscle activity (which generates more heat) to prevent brain tissue damage.

The major cause of heat stroke: a failure of the body to cool the brain to a lower temperature than ambient (if it's above our body temperature). Thus the unconsious controls knocks out the conscious stupdity, er, uhm, intelligence (that is: our self-awareness) that keeps pushing the body toward more activity when it already is overheating.

For an interesting side note on this...
Please check out the localised effects of older mobile phones actually heating the brain tissue where they were held close to the head. In many cases it was found that such older mobile devices held close to the head increased the localized tissue temperature by 1° to 1.5° C above the remaining tissue.

This seemed good news to the phone companies.
What negative effects could a mere 1° to 1.5°C have on the brain, right?
So the phone companies were all in the green, right?

Well, no.
Such an increase in brain tissue temperature usually occurs only during an extremely high fever in adults (ie a fever of 40.7° C or above) or a rather severe case of heat stroke and is the probable cause of fever hallucinations. As it occured quite far from our brain's temperature detecting structures AND it was localized it also was not rectified quickly.

What effect this has/had on the impacted brain tissue has not been studied sufficiently. But I dare to believe it probably did not improve the brain tissue.

I don't know about current mobile/smart phones but as they are usually not held close to the head when you use them their effects should be virtually nil.
Distances of more than a few centimeters away from the head effectively negate the induction heating effect of the wave lengths used to transmit information via phones.
So no reason to get all hyped up about phones cooking our brains.
But keep an open and inquisitve mind about such things. It helps you keep cool a lot longer ;)

People going into the ocean and going pretty far out for an evening dip / swim at 7 - 7:30 at night! LOL, that's the time when NOT to go out! Dusk, Dawn, or at night. Lots of people might now know that or ignore & say, "oh, I won't get bit. " and when it's too late, it's too late....

I have always feared sharks till I became a scuba diver. Once I entered their world and got to see them up close, I wish there were more in our oceans. They are amazing creatures and I can even say I swam with an adult great white without a cage. It never showed a second of aggression (thankfully) and just swam by checking me out. While it took several hours for my heart rate to get back to normal, it gave me a first hand experience I share with everyone to try and change their opinion of sharks.

Protecting sharks from "natural" extermination will only end in disaster. The life of a single human being is (to me) more valuable than all the sharks that exist.

We should actually kill all hostile animals untill they fear humans so much that playing dead is the preferred tactical choice when they are anywhere near a human being.

Pedro Montalvo Olivo
Pedro Montalvo Olivo - 10 years ago
Not all sharks have to be swiming in order to breathe. The bull shark ( looks similar to the white shark in apprearence and its a very common shark) can stop swimming to rest ( sharks dont sleep, they rest). After they stop swimming they breathe by moving their gills, an action that waste less energy than swimming. White sharks can't do this, but scientists think they rest by avoiding movements, so if a white shark is moving slowly and very relaxed, they could be resting (or more like, conserving energy).

I wonder if statistically people that are taller than average have a less of a chance of being attacked by sharks, since you said said most dont go for prey more than 2.5 meters. It would make sense that if you got a little kid or short adult they would be more likely to be attacked

And FYI, we don't have sharks here in the UK, the water is too cold for them.
Master January
Master January - 11 years ago
+ConnorTheCrash and that wasn't what I was saying. I only made my original comment so that people who visit the sea will not be afraid to go inside, as long as they don't go too far out. Many people, particularly in islands like the UK or in coastal areas like New York (not saying that you come from these regions, just as an example) will have been in the sea. Very few of these people encounter sharks (apart from in zones where there are known to be sharks, when people should be well - prepared), and of those who do, few actually are killed. My point was simply not to be afraid of sharks unless you either:
Have evidence that you are likely to see one
See one
ConnorTheCrash
ConnorTheCrash - 11 years ago
+Master January That wasn't at all what briansgenius was saying.
He was simply stating that the number of deaths alone can not be used as an indication of the creatures fatality.
You must remember that significantly more people live in land than by the sea (Purely because the area of a country is going to be bigger than it's perimeter) and then very few of those on the shoreline live somewhere that sharks even inhabit.
Instead think about the percentage of people that encounter sharks and survive compared to the percentage of people that encounter cows and survive...
Master January
Master January - 11 years ago
+briansgenius Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I didn't mean to say that you should be afraid of cows, just that you shouldn't avoid going in water in case there is a shark. Of course, if you do see a shark, you should be afraid then!
briansgenius
briansgenius - 11 years ago
"But sharks are scary" statistics doesn't often weigh in with fear, and most statistics remain unknown to people. But you cannot just account for raw numbers, you must also consider the number of cows vs sharks that come into contact with people etcetera.

Here we will explore True Facts About The Great White Shark...

Baby sharks are called 'pups'. Shark pups are born 4 feet long, and closely resemble a regular pup in no way whatsoever.

When a shark takes a bite, its eyes roll back into its head, making it momentarily blind. You try it. Now stop trying it.

Sharks do not only hang out in the shallow waters of beaches. They have also been known to attend parties with whales and porpoises. But not Mr Dolphin, because he's an asshole.

Humans will always use even the most absurd excuse to kill something. Preventing cancer? Come on! If that was true, scientists would have found the magical gene that helps their immune system to find even the smallest mutation. That would mean that sharks would never adapt or evolve, because it's mutations that let things change. Take brown eyes for example, they mutated over the course of human evolution to form all the eye colours we find today.

That's not how either sexual reproduction OR cancer work. They're completely different. Most cancer is caused by radiation damaging the DNA of an ordinary body cell, causing it to reproduce uncontrollably, while mitosis only deals with sperm and ovum cells, with their chromosomal half-pairs, and has nothing at all to do with mutations in any of the rest of the body.

So... at 1:06 it can be seen that a bait is used to lure the shark near the cage. I often heard this being criticized as very dangerous because it makes the shark associate the human divers with food and thus alters their feeding habits, and also makes them behave more aggressively in the vicinity of the cage... but I don't know if there's anything but anecdotal evidence to that...? Still, it's kinda unsettling to think about it. I love sharks, and I just wish for them to be left to live in peace.

But the reason for sharks going extinct now days is not because of fear (mainly). It because of how we destroy the living enviroments of a lot of oceanic life and the sharkfin industry. Destruction of their enviroments effect all life in the ocean, but the sharkfin industry is incredibly destructive for basicly all kinds of shark species. It insane how we have almost killed of an animal that have been around and shaped evolution long before the first dinosaurs - in just a few years
pepparmostheelder
pepparmostheelder - 11 years ago
Be carefull with that first sentence. Dont get me wrong I believe anything with a brain has some kind of feeling. But to place our own human emotions on all kinds of animals are also wrong. For ex. Elephants are incredibly smart and social animals. And its pretty safe to say they can feel most of the things we can (sorrow, happines etc.) For ex. PTSD have been documented in elephants. But sharks brain are very different from ours, so they probably cant think or feel in the same "pattern".

Tuna extinction is not because of sharks feeding on them. Fact of the matter is that we are the main cause for their demise aswell. I mean, we killed of most of the shark population (globaly) which should have caused Tuna to increase because we took away some of their predators. But, it didnt. Tuna and other animals still dropped because of our fishing industry. Not just cause we catch and eat the fish but we destroy the enviroment that sustain life not just on land, but in the oceans aswell

I got your point, and it's one I completely agree with. However, it has little to do with what you said before. You said that because you see there are pollutants, that's probably why sharks get cancer, which is what's objectionable. Again, I'm not saying that pollutants are not the cause, nor that we should just leave the pollutants, just that it's far too early to attribute the cause when there is literally no evidence for it. Anyways, my objection is pedantic at this point. Sorry to bother.

Let me try and make this easy for you to understand. If you keep getting sick and you realize mold is in your home, you wouldn't leave the mold and continue looking for other reasons on why you keep getting sick just because there are several different things that can make you sick. You remove the mold and see what happens. Same with sharks and cancer. Remove the OBVIOUS pollutants and if they keep getting cancer then go from there. But don't ignore what is right in front of you.

The disgusting fact about shark fin hunting (aside from the cruelty), is that fins are NOT EVEN EDIBLE OR GOOD ! They require long cooking because it's mostly cartilage, it doesn't taste anything before or after it's cooked and the nutritious value is close to zero. Only the soup itself has taste, the fin is added after. It's a culture and belief based consumption leading into the massacre of thousands of sharks. A wealth show off dish, the blood diamond of cooking.

I clearly do. It works as follows: We are top of the food chain and if we dont hunt the sharks then they are also top of the food chain, they have no natural predators as dont we, so basically we are competing for the the same food (ie fish, and I know they only eat fish when they're small) but their basically eating mine and your food so lets end world hunger and eat the shark while the fish population recovers :D win win situation id say... tuna is becoming extinct because of these creatures

Even before we had standards of evidence and proper peer review, we still at least had methods to try to reliably ensure that our hypotheses were correct, because we want to try to know the truth. What people OBSERVED, learned and taught at the time, was often wrong, and needed further study to find the truth of the matter. Your teaching and learning is at best useless but informs you of your error, and at worst is dangerous.
Toronto Dude
Toronto Dude - 11 years ago

dork - 11 years ago
There weren't reliable ways to determine fact, yes. Instead, people were just wrong, and convinced they were right from their own observations. You are suggesting that we go back to taking "obvious" things for granted and simply bask in our wrongness. It isn't obvious at all. We don't have many cases of cancers in sharks and it would be folly to assume the cause without good evidence, when we know many causes. And again, you're implying that I'm ruling out pollutants as a factor, which I am not.
estevonba
estevonba - 11 years ago
Of course I can live by observation alone! There weren't always books, research papers and the internet around for people to go to for information. First people had to OBSERVE, learn and then teach. My assertion was towards the main reason, not the only reason. They are searching for something that is obvious. That's like living in a house that is filled with mold and wondering why you keep getting sick. You don't need mold to get sick but it doesn't mean that that isn't the problem.
dork
dork - 11 years ago

You misunderstood what he was saying. The point is that removing sharks (i.e. big predators) from the picture creates a large hole in the ecosystem and food web, which has drastic consequences.
dork
dork - 11 years ago
No, you can't live by observation alone. Thinking you can live just by personal observation and still be correct, is utterly laughable. Meanwhile, I never said that environmental and polluting factors aren't contributors to cancer. In fact, most human cancers are attributed to environmental factors. It's your assertion, however, that there's no other reason that a shark would get cancer, which is demonstrably untrue. Your list, again, implies a fundamental lack of understanding about cancer.

Sharks are like the Hitlers of the ocean: they don't tell us about Hitler's fav color, what he liked to do for fun, heck I was like 35 before I found out what day he was born on (April 20th, of all daze). So sharks are the same in that all they do is kill and hurt and terrorize the oceans. Nothing was ever said about how they made love, cuz they don't make love, cuz they're bad they're evil they only kill and make people cry. Anyway, thanks for talking about how sharks reproduce.

Obviously because the world uses SI (International System Units) that were highly studied to define a more accurate way of measurement which is not the case with Imperial System (Britain and it's ex-colonies like USA,AUS,etc), that is old as hell and is still being used because conservativists are the ones who still make the rules (Lazyarses who can't adopt a better system).

Irwin was killed when he spooked a stingray, and it stung him in the chest, all on video. The barb penetrated his heart. This was a freak accident that almost never happens. Stingrays are beautiful & very placid creatures. Usually the only way to get stung is to actually step on one, and even then it's a non-lethal sting to the lower leg. Leave the stingrays & sharks alone. Sharks are the only thing keeping squid from taking over the ocean. We need them alive!

I always needed paper, pencil, eraser! Period! Slow long math no problem but egad it took me 12 years. Now I know I can quantify anything but I need a room alone for a bit! xoxo

Don't get me wrong, I'm a mechanical engineering student, so I can convert just about anything. On paper. Doing it in my head, though, gets just a tad slower and takes a second. Whereas feet I know what the length looks like, meters I have to convert to get an idea.

Excuse me, but I was born and raised in the USA and in the '60s we kids were told get with the program and learn metric so I did. I am in Europe now and have two degrees in the sciences, so good! I don't know why they quit that but that's the USA for ya -- it's a gulag, baby. I know! I am from the Rust Belt and NYC! Greetings from Paris, France.

Sharks are excellent. People shouldn't hate them. We have a tiny toy shark here in France named Sharkozy and he has quite a story and likes money. Anyone who had eaten a McDonad's Filet-o-Fish has eaten shark. I worked there for a year and had this confirmed. "North Atlantic Whitefish." Yeah, right.

Jesus said "So it will be at the end of the age,the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire,in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."Matthew 13:49-50. Jesus also said "You are my friends if you do what I command you." John 15:14. Jesus taught that the only way to be saved is to choose him as your Lord and Master, repent and believe that he died for the sins of his people on the cross see John 14:6.

Do you know how sharkfins are harvested? They cut of the fins and throw the sharks alive into the ocean to die from oxygen deprevation. There's no stability in killing sharks, not to mention it's extremely bad and wasteful to harvest predators for food. Sharks take long time to mature sexually and to become fully grown, whilst cows and chicken don't. Plus, cows and chickens take very little energy to feed and grow, whilst sharks have to eat many times their own weight in other fish.

Why is it that EVERY white country is forced to be multicultural/multiracial? Why is it that EVERY white country is told to end its own race/culture? No one asks that of -ANY- non-White country. Immigration/assimilation is FORCED upon ONLY White countries Anti-whites call themselves “anti-racists” but their actions lead to the elimination of only one race, the White race. The purpose of “anti-racism” is to genocide white children. Anti-racist is a code for anti-White /watch?v=ZC2uE6Y5sF0
