Sorry but this isn't a tiger shark, it is either a gray reef shark or a silvertip shark. Tiger sharks are very aggressive.

I saw that video last year in the news. What a great shot and what a beauty of a younger female tiger shark!

Not so sure that is a tiger shark. Snout is too rounded, no visible tiger stripes( what you are seeing is the visual effects of sun shining through the wind ripples on the water), trailing edge of dorsal fin is too vertical( tiger shark for sale are MUCH more shaped like a triangle). This is more than likely a large bull shark.

Its a tiger shark 1. the head is broader than a bulls would be 2. juveniles stripes fade as they get older, though I doubt you would be able to make prominent stripes out using drone footage anyway. 3 fins aren too far forward 4. watch again at 0.30 when you get the side profile of the shark, the body colouration and eye/head matches a tiger dead on.

And the dorsal fin is positioned WAY too far forward to be a tiger shark. Definitely a big bull shark.

People do not realize they are ALWAYS near by but do not go after humans for a reason this is a perfect example that they are not man eating machines. Thanks for post!

That guy lol. Hes totally obvlivious. Just as the fin pops out of the water infront of him he turns right.

Also it seems like he saw it and said to himself "if I pretend its not there it'll dissapear"

People are stringy and usually last on a shark's menu. When they [rarely] do bite, they normally spit it back out.

1) I did not say that they knew what they where doing lol ;) -And even so, it might be a smart thing to move (a little) closer rather to stay 100% still, cuz that way you show the shark that "you are not afraid". And very few animals on this earth will normally dare to prey on an adult human that shows no fear.

2) I ment in this situation.

new jersey greaser And there a trillion dumb things than running away from a shark
Andrew Anane

new jersey greaser but if they know there are sharks why do they keep swimming in it.
new jersey greaser
new jersey greaser - 6 years ago
They did absolute the right thing. Trying to run / swim away from it is the dumbest thing in the world to do, than you can trigger the sharks hunting instinvt.

If it is so Dangerous why didn't it attack??? The shark was probably hunting fish in the shallow water and not interested in the people at all.
