Perceived odds of getting killed by a shark while swimming in the ocean: daDAdaDAdaDAdaDAdaDAFUUUUUUU
Still you can't kill all sharks, or never fly again...
Though I doubt they would tell everyone theres a shark every time they see it. Just having someone on standby in case theres an abnormal number of them.
Agreed i had to change my pants after i filmed it....
I'm gonna eat-cha now
Just gonna start with them little legs and them little shorts

And now to get them to attach the spear!
It was a surreal moment when I saw the shark ... I thought all I can do is watch and maybe call for help but I was glad the shark was just curious and not hungry haha....

Much idiots out there
A worthy project for someone with the know how, I would say.
"fucking shark, get out of the water!"
lol.
"He was attacked by a shark!!!"
"Where?!"
"In the water!"
"...Well, fuckin tough then."
THAT FIRST KID IN FRONT LOOKED LIKE HE HAD A BUNCH OF SOMETHINGS SWIMMING AROUND HIM. SURPRISED THE SHARK NEVER PUT HIS DORSAL FIN OUT OF WATER ? ? ?
No doubt the footage is interesting but it is not worth the cost to the rest of the UAV piloting community.
You dip your pinky finger in the ocean and then taste the finger.
If it tastes salty; there are sharks.
Someone, feel free to make that happen.
Also, it was abundantly clear that the shark wasn't interested in people. We wouldn't have seen it casually swimming around. They are ambush predators, counting on surprise to predate. This shark was small (compared to an adult great white) and while they can bite, the small ones aren't at all likely to attack anything as big as a person. Finally, sharks only eat every day or two. The rest of the time they're just chillin' like this one apparently was.
Having said all that, would I have been scared? SURE! I saw one even smaller than this one once while scuba diving, but it swam away quickly. It still rattled me, but it was awesome. In fact I wish I'd seen more of it. Wouldn't want to see a big one, though.
You know shit.
Sharks are known to be there lmao
Sharks don't even like people for dinner. If they attack a human, it's probably because of "mistaken identity" (ie. thinking the surfer is a seal) or defending territory during mating season.
People should stop watching Jaws movies. Or at least stop thinking they are an accurate potrayal of sharks.
if you think im pulling it too far, fuck you, we're talking about SWIMMING ON A FUCKING BEACH, if you think its rational to be afraid of that, be glad VR is getting better so you can experience anything without leaving your cave

My name is Dustin McCaslin we come down from Bakersfield every year to get away from the heat. It was on Saturday around 9:15am I took my DJI phantom 3 aka Drone out over the water to get some cool surf footage and about 1:25 on the video, I thought I saw a strand of sea weed but a closer look has a definable shape like a shark . As I got closer I see it's not only a shark but looks to be a great white ... As my battery was getting low I flew it back and headed to the life guard head quarters where Patrick Cullen -a life guard we showed the video to-said it looked very sharky to him and looked to be round 9-10ft they followed protocol and  went out to investigate. I sent them footage for documentation..they said sharks are always out there, we just can't alway see them . As the drone community is growing we can see these things as life savers. I know some fire departments use them to scout out fire, I can see life guards, in the future, using them to patrol beaches and being one step or bite ahead.
Also can u send me a link or copy of the article after its done thanks
