You may think this is outrageous but I don't. If you've never been deep sea fishing, you won't know that when sharks or barracuda get your bait, you must drag them around to tire them out. Otherwise you'll lose limbs getting your hook out. We were out in the Gulf Stream where 8 out 10 of the #30+ fish we caught were blue northern barracuda. I never knew that was the reason until told by the boat's Master Baiter.

The only thing is, they are not fishing. You can see the rope bound around the tail of the shark. They did this for amusement, not to get a hook out of a shark's mouth.

It is very heartening that those who condone animal cruelty are an extreme minority. Even animals that are feared and sometimes hated deserve respect. as a child, I watched a fisherman reel in a baby hammerhead. He said he was going to kill it. I asked him if he was going to eat it. When he said no, I threw a tantrum until he let it go.

Since then I have had numerous shark encounters including one where a sand shark brushed my chest which made me bleed because of its abrasive skin. On another occasion a 14ft. tiger shark nudged my foot as it dangled over the side of my board. It struck my foot with its dorsal fin as it departed. I have no fear of sharks, yet great respect.

So go ahead bwahaha ha and get you a boat, but stay out of the water. The scent of your fear will incite an attack.
