That white pointer is famous - she’s a female who lives in the waters off Port Lincoln, South Australia and regularly appears to cage divers. Altho the whole cage diving industry is rather controversial because of the methods used to attract these massive predators for tourists. There is a lot of opposition to cage diving because there is a lot of evidence to indicate that sharks are actually a LOT smarter than we ever imagined and will return to food sources. Because the area in South Australia where great whites are most common is also home to a long-established fishing and abalone diving industry, there are understandable concerns that attracting these sharks is putting lives at risk. Incidentally abalone divers (along with surfers) happen to be among the most common targets of shark attacks - mostly one-bite or “mistaken identity” attacks - because they often enter the territory of these apex predators. Thankfully these magnificent creatures are protected and technology exists (like “shark shield”) that has been proven to repel sharks using an electrical field which irritates their electro-sensory organs, the ampullae of Lorenzini. This technology is revolutionary and should be used by all surfer, divers and anyone else likely to find themselves in proximity to sharks.

All sharks should not be culled or hunted for future generations people on this planet need to realise when they enter the water (ocean) they are entering the shark and every other species domain if someone is injured or killed get over it they should have known better or taken precautions
