This video reminds me of how my brother and I used to fish. We'd put a couple lines in the water and tow them about 60 feet back at 8 knots. We would always catch something after a couple minutes.

No idea how fast this boat is, but I've had a Shortfin Mako stripping my dredge bait at ~26 knots. Official sources say these have top speed of ~21 knots. I believe they are even faster as it didn't even struggle with 26. If they can feed regularly on tuna, they're most likely just as fast.

Yea Velociraptors, as well as most of the other raptors, were most likely scavengers for most of their food, hiding or hanging out in a tree until whatever critter was done eating. They probably only hunted smaller animals if they were really hungry. I'd say Raptors were more like vultures aside from the bigger Utah breeds.

There are plenty of small predators which don't hunt in packs. Cats, birds of prey, wolverines, monitor lizards, etc. There were plenty of dinosaurs the size of a goat or less, plus all the small mammals which were emerging.

If feral house cats can collapse whole food chains as solitary hunters, solitary velociraptors ought to do fine.

But of course, pack hunting is bad-ass to visualize, and it is still very plausible.

These are just teaser baits, no hooks! Game fishers/ rec anglers use them to attract the fish up in the hope they'll hit a top surface lure or another trawled bait which are usually trawled further back behind the teasers, whoever rigged these up has done an excellent job. I take that back. It isnt sped up. If you study it closely it the reason the baits tails are moving fast is cause of the speed of the boat. and yes mako sharks are very fast

Hi im glad you liked the video as far as the title though do you think I would have got 1 million views in 28 days had I used feeding instead of attacking. I don't think I would have. Also if you think about when any shark or most anything that preys on things it normal attacks it's prey before eating it.

Cool video-wish it was titled differently-the shark is simply eating the bait dragged by dredge-it's not attacking anything about the dredge. But I will admit-that dredge is rolling through the water and that shark is hailing axx to catch up to those baits so I forgive the author for the mistitle. Hell,it got me to watch the video didn't it. Never before seen view of a sharks true attack speed in open sea. Very cool.

Worked in Ocean City in 95. One of guys at work was a lifeguard (+his twin brother). Was at house party at their guys place, got drunk & one of the guy's girlfriends dropped me home. When I arrived home, I walked toward the beach & told her I was going swimming. I was in the water admiring the moonlight when I was yanked out by the two brothers. They warned me about the Mako sharks in the area that feed at night (they should Know) & told me I was lucky not to be attacked. Thank you guys!
