ATTENTION YOUTUBE VIEWERS READ THIS BEFORE YOU COMMENT:
1. The Shark Lives at the end of the video. If you watch the video till the end you find out it does.
2. This was filmed in a REMOTE AREA OF BAJA CA, MEXICO, 1HOUR DRIVE TO THE NEAREST SERVICES. THERE IS NO PHONE SERVICE OF ANY KIND. YOU CAN NOT CALL ANYONE FOR HELP.
3. The shark never stopped moving for over 3 minutes. It had total control over where it was and how deep of water it was in.
4. After 30 minutes in the shallow water the Shark SWAM AWAY UNDER ITS OWN POWER AND WAS SEEN FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS. AGAIN THE SHARK SWAM AWAY AFTER 30 MINUTES.
5. The darkness in the water is from sand and mud on the bottom being stirred up from its tail. Its not blood.
6. The Video was reviewed by Science Professionals in Great White Shark Research and they determined that the injury was not lethal and that the Shark would recover.
7. The Shark was NEVER TOUCHED, RESTRAINED, HARASSED, REDIRECTED, OR BOTHERED IN ANY WAY BY ME OR THE PEOPLE THERE.
8. THE INJURY WAS ON THE SHARK WHEN IT SWAM INTO THE COVE. WE DID NOT CAUSE THE INJURY, WE ONLY DOCUMENTED IT.
9. PHD White Shark Researchers after reviewing this video concluded that the Great White Shark was in the shallow water because it was hunting for stingrays as a food source. This means that what appears to be a helpless injured Shark is in reality a FEEDING 15FT PREDATOR IN ITS OWN NATURAL HUNTING ENVIRONMENT. TRYING TO "HELP" THIS MASSIVE PREDATOR BECAUSE OF ITS INJURY WOULD HAVE BEEN FOOLISH, AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY TO THOSE WHO WOULD HAVE TRIED.

That shark deff wasnt giving birth , its Width and gurth would have been 3 to 4 times bigger than video as they usually can birth up to 6 to 8 pups on the high end who are 5 to 6 feet long when born so can see why girth would be massive compared to in video , I believe this is a Fully grown Male in this video because the more narrow looking shape which is indicative of males the Females avg much larger sizes than the males do and their width is dbl to triple size also .

That is because, on average, humans spend almost none of their life in the ocean. Some humans spend significant time in the Ocean, and they have a much greater chance of a shark attack. It is still low, but forget that crap about being hit by a car or train. Think of people that surf - they don't really spend that many days in the water, and when they do, it is usually not the whole day. Their number of hours a year in the ocean might seem like a lot, but it is not that much. Scuba divers spend 2-3 hours in the water tops per day while they are on their dive trip, maybe two trips a year, so how many hours a year do they spend in the water?
And maybe "ONLY" 100 die per year, but how many have life altering injuries? A shark just coming to see if you are food and then leaving you alone will likely cripple you.

Julian Figueroa - An injured shark is more likely to be dangerous, just as any injured animal is dangerous. I have seen footage of a shark with its guts blown out eating its own guts. Think about - an injury tells the nervous system "fight or flight". A serious injury is will tell your nervous system that you are fighting for your life. You will fight like never before. That may not necessarily be true for humans, but in the shark world, any sign of an injury or weakness makes you look like dinner.

While many shark attack fatalities are just a bite, taste and leave variety, there have been shark attacks that are deliberate and continued. For example, in Cocoa beach there was a kite surfer. The small sharks could only get at his legs when he was on his inflated kite, but they kept coming and taking bites of out his legs. He died of blood loss. They will try to take a bit out of anything, even things many times their size.

Great job done Dale, I agree that it was seeking out the shallower waters to recuperate from his injury and feed on easier prey as you had mentioned till his wounds had healed... Of course I wasn't there but from my experience from many documented injuries to great whites and encounters of my own while fishing, I have seen many a horrific injury suffered by great whites yet, they have recovered very well to carry on. As you mentioned at the end of your clip it seemed to recover over the following days to go on to bigger & better adventures which I'm surer doesn't include power boats lol.... phuck you never said a shark that big you fool, as a surfer in Western Australia we have great whites that are tagged and can be tracked from online and has been seen in the breakers which is only 4-5 feet deep. That was a 3.5m great white and had a 4m tiger shark come out of the shallows and right where I was standing fishing in waist deep water off an Island called Rottnest! I also have a degree in aquaculture and therefore know a lot about the marine environment!

@CHINAFAKEEGGS. NOT TRUE. Scientist are discovering more and more out about sharks and fish in general. They DO feel pain... much like you, they just don't have facial expressions or vocal cords to show you how much pain they are in. That is how they avoid injury, by responding to pain... JUST LIKE YOU.
In fact, there is a growing number of fish (Great White's included) that are being shown to be quite intelligent. The Great White for example is as intelligent as a smart dog (think Border Collie). Lots of info out there about the intelligence of the Great White Shark if you are interested.

I hate it when people stand by and watch as an animal is struggling and clearly in distress. How about getting a boat and towing it out to deeper water instead of video recording yourself with the animal in the back ground. The video doesn't show the animal swimming out to deeper water. The last thing you see is some guys bleeding foot. Just because he said the animal survived doesn't mean it did. The shark was hit buy a prop and was bleeding out, chances are it didn't survive and this guy certainly didn't help.

Ive always felt 9 out of 10 surfers get checked out by large sharks and the shark realizes its not worth eating. Hopefully in a few years all surf boards will have cameras. But I could be wrong about the sharks.
