Not a chance I go in the ocean with that,,
spent many a day in the ocean, on a Navy
Destroyer , and was still a bit uneasy ,,
I'm respectful of the sea and what can happen , we all know this , I'm a strong dude , but in the sea
You ain't shit, , your dinner , end of story
Where are you people from? Great Kayaks, btw, staying afloat and stable despite those massive brass balls and all.

but large sharks will take a foot off with little problem. to those who will say it's unlikely to happen. yer that's true. but if it does then you're screwed. it's the oldest habits that you killed.

Dogs, birds, monkeys, sharks, what'll they think of next? If you don't want them to come right up to you wanting food then DON'T FEED THEM TO BEGIN WITH. Fish can't swim away if fish is attached to your big hook being jerked the other way. Just tasty morsels for new shark friends to associate with you and your presence. I bet the next time it sees a kayaker it immediately (much like a trained dog) thinks "FOOD!" and comes running to at least check it out, if not take advantage of any situations that might arise. Dumb. Quit training sharks to eat kayakers dude. Not cool. If they are taking your fish & you keep fishing to the tune of 60 lbs of shark feed, that is what you are doing. Think don't just laugh.
Cause I'm pretty sure he has the balls dept covered

a plausible concept, but.. if it's only pressure, then why does it work with irritants like capsaicin too?
i did my research dude. the fish wriggle violently when their lips are injured, and avoid those stimuli. but lobsters don't. it's pretty cut and dry.
ehh actually it's proven they DO have nerve endings in their mouths. In fact that's the place they have the most by far. After all they examine their world orally.
But CRUSTACEANS don't, nor other arthropods, so feel free to torture those all you want. You can pull the legs off of flies, they won't feel a thing.
if you're gonna mess with a vertebrate, you should probably eat it.

hahah I can only imagine!
Sounds like a fun memory though, and really a testimonial for intelligent fish utilizing fishermen
It's his life so his entitled to use it as he sees fit I suppose.
Two guys from Melbourne, Aust. lost their lives about six months back kayak
fishing at night in a bay. The weather turned rough after a hot, calm night and
they floated back to shore, upside down in the water.
It is dangerous enough as is without the need to take unnecessary risks like
that to show off for the camera.
Great white sharks had been known to stalk and also attack kayakers and
fishermans in small tinnies. Beware.
2nd try: there goes the fish, line, my leg, and half the damn boat
I suspect they[re all like that...haha
BTW, the last time I was there (NZ) in 2010, Prince William visited "the COLONY," as all of the media referred to it. So although not technically accurate I think it isn't too big of a stretch to call a bunch of blond hair, blue eyed 3rd-4th generation British emigrants, "European."
It's like some white kid from Cape Town, telling me he's "African." Well, technically, yes. But really, not so much...
.....or ANY boat
I couldn't care less if he gets a foot chomped off. It's pretty idiotic
I suppose you're one of those people who likes to talk tough behind your computer. What's stupid about my comment? Please elaborate....
u will sink like a brick in a matter of seconds.
