Hi , can you advise me , I moved to FLA ponce inlet to be exact and have been fishing with huge pinfish and mullet anything I can get actually ., it is a river full of piers boats and so on and I was wondering what the biggest shark inland you have managed to catch . I have 6500 series OKUMA baitrunners with between 30 and 35 max drag according to okuma but they only hold about 280 yards of 80lb braid , the other day my drag was at about 90 percent and a fish which I believe was a shark maybe a tarpon I am not sure spooled me in less than 30 seconds no problem . Is there any tips or tricks I can acquire to turn these fish around ? I have lost about 6 monsters some due to snags and 2 they have bit off exactly right before a big circle hook . it isn't coming untied of that I am sure , I hate to go rig more up if it is all still in vain or a waste of money . we do get the big groupers in here but I doubt if they run that long . will an 8/0 circle hook and 45 metal leader work . we do have lots of blacktips and bulls and not as many inshore hammerheads but a lot of sharks are in here spawning so I wanted to make the best of each run I get thanks .
