It gets the animal use to human contact and then that animal wont be scared next time it sees a human and possibly will attack. It happens all the time.

Interacting with wild animals is just a bad thing overall.. Just like tiger cub petting. Do you know what happens to the cub when they get a bit older ? They get killed. All this just so that humans could pet it when it was a cub.

Leave wild animals alone is the best route possible for both humans and the animal.
